AFK Journey released a short video that gave its players a sneak peek into all of the new content that will be coming to the game in future updates.
Alongside the introduction of the new Hypogean hero, Phraesto, we also received information on a ton of new events that we’ll be able to soon enjoy.
We’re here to show you all of these upcoming events and what you can expect from AFK Journey going forward.

Clan Reputation
The first event that was announced was the [Clan Reputation Event]. In this event, players will have to do daily quests that they’ll be able to take from Kruger to help him build up the reputation of the Grimmaw Clan.
This will likely extend your playtime by a bit, but not that much, as you will only have to do some quick daily quests.
Furthermore, given that the event is locked behind daily quests, we will unfortunately not be able to complete it instantly, but that might be a good thing, given that content in AFK Journey has been a bit scarce ever since the introduction of the new season.
Some of the rewards that we can expect from this event are:
- Gems
- Season Essence
- Season Manual
- Gold
- Season Artifacts
- Border
We will update you with the full list of rewards and how to get them once the event officially launches.

Celestial Gala Event
The Celestial Gala is an event in which you will have to complete a series of mini-events, which will be available numerous times during the duration of the Celestial Gala.
By completing these mini-events you’ll get Astral Vouchers which you can then exchange for some nice rewards.
Some of the rewards that you can get for Astral Vouchers are:
- Invite Letters
- Stellar Crystals
- Soulstones
- Origami Hamsters
This event will likely be a way for players to get more wishes to try and summon for the new Hypogean hero Phraesto, but it is uncertain just how much this will help with our Stargaze Summons.
In addition to these rewards, you will also be able to get Invite Letters by participating in the mini-events and getting points. When you amass a certain number of points, you’ll then get a reward.
Right now, the rewards for points during the Celestial Gala event are:
- Invite Letter x8
- Gold x2500k
These might change, so be sure to take the information with a grain of salt.

Hero Drills
Another event that was announced during the video is the Hero Drills event. During this event, players will get to play with various heroes and complete their drills, which you can also think of as challenges.
This works similarly to how tactical drills work, where you will be given the hero and asked to use it strategically to complete the drill.
The rewards for this event include:
- Omni-Acorns
- Tidal Essence
- Temporal Essence

Fairy Carnival
The final event that was revealed during the video was the Fairy Carnival. In this event, players will have to do a series of tasks, which will be divided into Daily and Special.
By completing these tasks, you’ll earn points. By gathering enough points, you’ll reach certain milestones and get rewards.
As of right now, the currently known rewards for this event are:
- Rate Up Invite Letter x10
- [Sweets] Cosmetic Set
This seems like the typical cosmetic set event we’ve had numerous times now and is likely going to be very easy to clear in a day or two. The [Sweets] cosmetic set looks like an interesting addition, and the x10 Rate Up Invite Letters are always a good addition, so there’s nothing bad to say about this event.

Summary
All in all, it looks like the future of AFK Journey will be a bit busy with a ton of events and a new hero. The events that were announced, unfortunately, seem a bit basic, and it is interesting to see if they will be fun to play or will simply end up becoming a chore to do.
For those who’ve already completed everything the Song of Strife season had to offer, these events might prove to be an interesting way to get them back into the game, so we are hopeful to see how Lilith Games handles the events.
