The Astral Fair is the newest event to be added to AFK Journey, and it is one that was not warmly welcomed by the community.
This new event is once again a mini-event that gives a decent amount of wishes, but the problem is the way you go about getting those wishes.

What is Astral Fair?
Astral Fair is the newest event in AFK Journey and features three mini-events that players can take part in to earn points and get rewards.
These mini-events include the following:
- Trivia Quiz
- Sorting Stall
- Century Quest Expo
The Trivia Quiz gives you questions about the game that you need to answer with true or false.
The Storting Stall takes on the sorting mini-game that we’ve already encountered in the world numerous times.
Lastly, the Century Quest Expo has you play a series of Century Quest matches where you have to click on the correct card a certain number of times.
All three do not take much time to complete and can easily be done, but the problem with them is that they are time-locked.
Each event is only available at certain times during the day for 15 minutes, after which it goes on a cooldown for 5 hours.
Although you only need to do 1 mini-event per day to complete the whole event, this makes it hard for players who only hop into the game for a bit to do their dailies to have fun with the Astral Fair or even complete it.

Is the Event Good?
Generally speaking, an event that anyone can complete and gives a decent amount of rewards will generally be seen as a good event, but Astral Fair is different.
Given the idle nature of AFK Journey, only a small part of the player base has the time to wait for one of the mini-events to open. Most players generally get in, do dailies, and get out.
An event that has you waiting for a specific time in the day to complete it, understandably, does not sit well with the community that treats this as a casual game.
As such, Astral Fair is not a great event by any means. It goes against the nature of the game, which already has several modes that you need to do daily but can do them whenever you want at your leisure. If the mini-events in Astral Fair were limited to a number of uses per day rather than during specific times of the day, they might have been received differently.
As of right now, an event with good rewards being time-gated is an interesting decision that might end up hurting the game more than benefiting it.
