AFK Journey: Best Meta Team for Fastest Progression

Reaching the farthest AFK Stage you can in AFK Journey is the best way to boost your progression.

Sometimes, however, you will find yourself stuck and unable to progress. Luckily, there is one team that has been going around the community that everyone is using to push higher AFK Stages even if they are really under-leveled.

In this guide, we’ll show you what that team is and how you can utilize it to push the highest AFK Stage possible.

Best AFK Stage Progression Team

As with any other mode, your team for the AFK Stages will consist of 5 heroes.

The heroes for the best team are all heroes that you can obtain easily, and if you have had more luck then you may already have them ascended quite high up.

The best team for AFK Stage Progression is the following:

Brutus	Antandra	Smokey&Meerky	Koko	Cecia

This is the best setup for this team and the setup that will allow you the survive the most thanks to Brutus’ invincibility and Antrandra’s tankiness.

Smokey & Meerky and Koko are there for the amazing healing that they both offer as well as a good mix of ATK buffs, and Cecia is the main DPS that everyone should have gotten from their first 10 pull.

This team is the current best team to progress in AFK Stages if you are a low spender or even F2P.

You can get Brutus from the 7-day daily login, while Smokey & Meerky you can get by rerolling or getting the battle pass.

If you do not have Brutus you can always swap him for Rowan to add a bit more heals to the team.

The other Heroes are unfortunately a must-have and do not have a replacement, so if you do not have Smokey & Meerky you might need to think of a different team for progression.

Tips for Progression

Now that you have the team it's time we look at how to place the heroes to get the most benefit out of them.

Given that each stage’s enemies are different and arranged differently you won’t always have the same configuration for your team placement.

However, there is an easy way to know the best configuration for each AFK Stage.

Before you go into an AFK Stage you will notice an information button next to the Enemy’s portrait. By clicking on this button you will be taken to a window that shows information about the current stage, as well as recordings.

In these recordings, you can see how other players have beaten this particular stage, and what heroes they’ve used, and by replaying the recording you can also see their configuration.

Using these recordings with the team mentioned above, and a bit of luck you are sure to push quite far in the AFK Stages.
