Song of Strife was just released on the servers that were created when AFK Journey launched globally.
With it, the new season brings a ton of new features, events, and progression systems for players to explore and have fun with.
However, before doing that players must first unlock Song of Strife. In this guide, we’ll show you how to do just that and how you can start your journey through the new maps and further boost your progression.

How to Unlock Song of Strife
Unlocking the new season and starting your journey through the lands of the Maulers is quite a simple task. There are three prerequisites you must complete to unlock the new story missions and start venturing into new areas. Those three prerequisites are:
- Reach Resonance Level 240
- Complete the main story [Reawakened Power]
- Clear AFK Stage 1125
After you have completed those three you will be able to start the [Into the Dusk’s Embrace] storyline, which you can start by talking to Hogan in Holistone.
Upon accepting the quest you will be guided to the new areas where you will start your journey with the new season.

What’s New
Looking at the season some players might wonder why they need to unlock it and what the season brings to AFK Journey.
Those who’ve already reached Resonance Level 240 and have cleared all the AFK Stages might have found the game somewhat boring the last week or two, however, the Song of Strife season aims to change that.
Song of Strife features a completely new level progression that does not use Hero Essence or the resources you’re used to. It uses season-specific resources that are then used to level your season-specific Resonance Level.
On top of the Season Resonance Level, there are also Season Artifacts and many other new things that players can look forward to.
This season will last until September 2024, and during these 3-4 months players are bound to have lots of new areas to explore, new systems to try out, and events to clear.
