AFK Journey Song of Strife Release Date – How to Prepare

Song of Strife is soon approaching, and the first servers will receive the season on May 10th, while the servers that have been created later will receive the season after the server has reached its 42nd-day mark.

What is Song of Strife

Song of Strife is the first Season out of many that will be released in AFK Journey this May. The season will feature its own unique progression system featuring: Season Resonance Level, Season Equipment, Season Artifacts, and more.

The season is set to have a duration of 4 months during which time there will be numerous events to keep players engaged.

Song of Strife will also expand the main story of AFK Journey, allowing players to dive deeper into Esperia’s world and get to know Magister Merlin better.

Song of Strife Release Date

Song of Strife will be released on May 10th for servers that have been created on March 27th during AFK Journey’s global launch.

Servers created later will receive the season on the 42nd day after the server’s creation, meaning that if the server you are playing on has been created on the 12th of April, you will receive Song of Strife on the 24th of May.

That about sums up how the season release will work, and the developers have stated that this will continue to be the case for other seasons, as well as other features in the game.

How to Prepare for Song of Strife

To participate in Song of Strife players must first get to Resonance Level 240, complete all 1125 AFK Stages, and complete the full main story.

Although this may seem like a daunting task for free-to-play (F2P) players, who have yet to reach a high resonance level, the developers recently announced a feature that will help everyone and boost them to 240 just before the season’s launch.

This system is known as the - Final Push and in short, it doubles the rewards that players get from AFK Rewards, basically doubling progression speed.

Given that the Season is set to launch in less than two weeks for the first batch of servers, this Final Push will surely help both F2P and spends who have yet to get to the max resonance, push to remaining barriers, and get ready for the season.

Apart from increasing your Resonance Level to 240, completing the AFK Stages, and completing the main story you don’t have to worry about anything else when it comes to preparing for the season.

Given that Song of Strife will feature a new seasonal progression, it is still uncertain how much of the permanent progress players have made will carry over, so the best way to prepare for now is to push Resonance Level 240 and complete the main story. The rest will figure itself out.
