Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Collection Event: Free Rewards, Heirloom Shards and More

The 5-year celebration of Apex Legends is approaching, promising players a lot of rewards and surprises. The new Collection Event will mark the beginning of Apex Season 20: Breakout, bringing along significant changes to the game.

Apex 5th Anniversary: New Limited-Time Mode (LTM): Straight Shot

Respawn Entertainment is introducing a new quick game mode that will last during the Collection Event period. The new LTM will be a faster version of the classical battle royal with a smaller lobby of 30 players and shorter rounds. There will be some more unique characteristics of Straight Shot:

• No More Jumpmaster. Players will spawn above a random POI and drop in. Each POI will contain two teams (choose to engage immediately or rotate and play the end-game).
• At the start, the ring focuses the game on a smaller portion of the map
• Weapons will spawn kitted at different rarities, streamlining the loot process.
• More drops, more fights, and more end-rings in less time.
• Players can focus on movement and shooting, getting more reps on the battle royale in less time
• Requeue with your party directly from the death screen

 

Apex 5th Anniversary: Reward Tracker 

The Apex 5th Anniversary Collection event comes with a new community-created reward tracker. After you complete some challenges you can get great rewards like banners, loading screens, gun skins, Ballistic Skin, event packs, and more. 

Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: Legendary Squad Set Cosmetics

There will be many new Legendary skins for the Apex Legends. Some of which will be: 

• Catalyst’s “Lunar Elegance”
• Pathfinder’s “Retro-bot”
• Mirage’s “Tin Man” 

You will also be able to find squad skins from previous anniversary events and benefit from the Valentine's Day sale! 

Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: Event Store &

Heirloom Shards

Of course, there will be a new Even Store with a lot of discounts and special offers.  Some of the available bundles will be “Fashion Forward Bundle”, “Soulless Sentry Bundle”, and the “Low Profile Bundle.”.

Keep in mind that if you complete the Anniversary Collection you’ll automatically receive 150 Heirloom Shards to unlock the Heirloom or Prestige Skin of your choice! This was seen in last year's event and is not a highly anticipated aspect of the 5th Anniversary event as well. 

To receive the Heirloom Shards you will have to purchase all 24 cosmetics of the Collection Event which would cost approximately 16,800 Apex Coins.

When Will Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Event Begin?

As mentioned above the new Collection Event will begin with Apex Season 20: Breakout. The event will start on February 13, 2024, and will continue for 2 weeks.
