Best F2P Beginner Team in Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves was released just recently, and players all over the world can finally enjoy Kuro Games’ newest creation. Given that Wuthering Waves is a game with many characters, a lot of players will surely like to know what the best team is to get in the beginning to help them through the game.

In this guide, we’ll go over what is currently the best team to use as a f2p player in WuWa to help you kill a lot of the annoying enemies in the open world.

Best F2P Team in WuWa

Teams in Wuthering Waves consist of three characters, or Resonators, as they are referred to in the game. Each Resonator has a unique role, with some being DPS and others being healers.

To form the best free-to-play team, it is best that you have a good mixture of damage, survivability, and utility. To do this, we will opt for the following setup:

• DPS
• Buffer
• Healer

By choosing one character for each of these three roles, we will cover the damage requirements to kill bosses while also keeping your character alive.

DPS Characters

Starting with the DPS character, the unit that we recommend the most for this part will be Calcharo.

Calcharo is currently one of the strongest DPS units in the game, rivaled only by Encore and Jiyan. Jiyan is a Limited Character, so not every free-to-play gamer will be able to get him, but with the free 5-star selector and guaranteed beginner banner, you will certainly be able to get either Calcharo or Encore.

We choose Calcharo as he has better synergy with some of the other f2p units, but if you like Encore more, you can also use her in his place.

Buffer Characters

For this part, we will choose a character that can both do damage while also supporting your main DPS unit.

If you’ve chosen Calcharo as your main DPS unit, then the buffer you’ll need for him is none other than Mortefi, who will greatly increase his Heavy Attack DMG with his Outro Skill. If you do not have Mortefi, you can easily substitute him for Yangyang, who gives Calcharo a great boost in energy regeneration, helping him get his ult off faster.

If you’ve chosen Encore as your main DPS unit, then you’ll want to either use Sanhua for her ability to increase the Basic Attack DMG with her Outro Skill or, once again, Yangyang as you get her for free.

Healer Characters

When it comes to healers in Wuthering Waves, our choices are quite limited right now. There are two dedicated healer characters in the game as of version 1.0:

• Baizhi

If you have gotten Verina from one of your pulls, then she is without a doubt the character that you will want to have on any team as your healer. If you do not have Verina, you should definitely be using Baizhi, as you get her for free at the start of the game, and she is overall an amazing unit to build early on.
