Party William, or S7 William, is one of the two Season 7 characters joining Black Clover M’s roster in Season 7.

He is the newest Defender to join the game and is also the first Technique Defender to compete with Mars for the spot as the best Technique Defender.

In this guide, we’ll go over everything you need to know about S7 William and how to build him in the best way possible.

Party William Introduction

Party William is a Technique Defender and the second character from the Season 7 roster. He is an interesting asset on your roster as S7 William’s kit is quite dependent on how he’s played. What we mean by that is that a poor choice of teammates can either make or break Party William’s kit. This is because S7 William is dependent on the [Counterattack] buff to work properly.

The drawback is that the more instances of [Counterattack] you have on your team the better, however, with the way the game is currently made, there are still not a lot of characters that can efficiently utilize or cast this buff, and your best bet would be Ceremony Luck. Ceremony Luck had the same issue with there just not being enough characters that could efficiently utilize [Counterattack].

With the addition of S7 William [Counterattack] teams are certainly becoming more viable and is interesting to see where exactly will find their team in the meta.

Furthermore, thanks to his Unique Passive Party William can also grant a [Protection] buff if all teammates are Technique characters, which pairs extremely well with Ceremony Luck, however, it is still somewhat limiting apart from that, so that should also be taken into consideration when pulling for him.

Rapid Growth

• Grows a tree by transferring mana to the ground, dealing damage to an enemy.
  • If [Counterattack] is present on self, inflicts [Taunt] on a target for 2 turn(s).

Great Mistilteinn Tree

• Summons a gigantic World Tree on the enemy lines, dealing damage to all enemies.
  • Grants all allies a [Fortify Lv. 3] buff for 2 turns.
  • Grants all allies [Debuff Immunity] for 2 turns.
  • Grants a 5% [Reduced DMG Taken] buff to all allies for 2 turns for each instance of [Counterattack] present on them.
  • If [Counterattack] is present on an ally, grants them [Extend Counterattack Duration by 1 turns].

Summary

All in all, S7 William is a fun character to have if you are planning on making a [Counterattack] team. However, if that is not something you are interested in, then he is quite honestly not all that great. Yes, his kit does have some utility without [Counterattack] buff present, however, not having the buff butchers about 50% if not more of Party William’s strength and uniqueness as a character.

Right now he is in a bit of a tough spot due to the lack of powerful [Counterattack] characters, excluding Ceremony Luck, and it might take some time before a powerful [Counterattack] team can be born.

However, without [Counterattack] he is definitely not up to par with other Defenders and you might want to consider whether you want to place your bets on the future of [Counterattack] teams, or skip him for now and focus on Party Mimosa instead.
