Fana’s “Three Evil Eyes – Hatred” ranks at the pinnacle for accumulating unique effects to unleash devastating special moves. After her awakening, stacking 5 unique effects significantly boosts her firepower. She also temporarily tanks with provocation and immunity

Role: Magic Damage Dealer or Action Debuff

Julius, the Magic Emperor himself, induces substantial action delays while avoiding incapacitation with his awakened passive skill.

Role: Magic Firepower or Endurance Support

Noelle’s swimsuit version places barriers to increase endurance and contribute to magic firepower.

Role: SP Increase or Endurance Support

Charlotte’s “Ceremony” form focuses on support, increasing ally SP, and providing damage-mitigating barriers. Her awakened passive skill allows a barrier each turn.

Role: SP Reduction or Firepower Debuff

Noelle’s Halloween version specializes in SP reduction with most skills, plus debuffs like magic decrease, buff removal, and more. An awakened passive indirectly strengthens initial firepower.

Role: Single-Target Physical Firepower

Jack’s Clover Academy version raises additional attack counts by accumulating unique buffs. His guaranteed-stun special move is effective even on auto.

Role: Counter Buff

Academy Charlotte gifts counterattacks and attack buffs – with her awakened passive, damage taken gains SP.

Role: Endurance or Action Debuff

Lotus stands in a tier of his own as the quintessential debuffer for both PvE and PvP. With debuffs incorporated into every skill, no other character rivals his capacity to handicap enemies.

Starter Asta, also called S1 Asta, is a top-red attacker. You get him free and he clears early content well. Partners nicely with Charlotte.

Mars has unmatched durability that makes him a top pick as an early-game tank. His abilities like Fortify and Taunt are very useful. He also has a high 40% chance to stun, which greatly impacts battles.

William buffs with counters that apply to the ally with the highest attack. Good in both PvE and PvP. A core part of blue teams.

Rades can shield allies based on his magic attack. He also gives debuff protection. Works well everywhere, especially on green teams.

Red Yami deals tons of damage to bosses. Has high critical damage and gives bleed/stun. Must-have for red teams.

Role: Healing or Continuous Damage Infliction

The Queen of the Witch’s Forest uniquely heals while dealing continuous damage. She shows particular synergy when healing defensive allies.

Role: Inflicting Burn or Magic Firepower

Magna's ceremony version stacks burn to boost his special move, suiting manual play.

Role: Magic Firepower

Langris increases his own SP well, desiring partners to share the load. 

Role: Silence Debuff

Golden Dawn Yuno focuses on silencing foes, needing help to support firepower or endurance.

Role: Magic Firepower or Inflicting Burns

Halloween Charmy inflicts burns to attack and utilizes deadly unique debuffs.

Role: Endurance Support

Gueldre enhances endurance for the party, plus provides invincibility to a near-defeated ally.

Role: High Endurance Tank

Vetto "Despait" can heal and buff himself as a tank. His damage rises as his health falls, working well with his immortality buff. But healing at the wrong time can lower his damage output. 

Role: Debuff Removal

Swimsuit Asta can taunt, but it's only on his special move that limits tanking. Removing debuffs one at a time takes careful timing.

Role:  Sustained Healing

Swimsuit Charmy focuses on steady, long-term healing based on missing health, not bursts. She sometimes gives SP as well. Keeping everyone topped up is easier than emergency healing.

Leopold's buffs require burns or low HP to work fully. So they are unreliable. His lifesteal keeps him alive without a healer. But better red attackers exist.

Rill debuffs green enemies but misses often. Skill 2 drops defense for all foes which is good. Also a 50/50 shot at removing 2 buffs.

Jack depends on landing crits but lacks speed. His skill 2 can randomly buff speed. Works well with Yami, but better blue damage dealers exist.

Nozel poisons foes and lowers their attacking ability. But that's about it. Lotus outclasses him as a blue debuffer without question.
