Encounter in the Basement: Descend and you'll meet Shank and his friend, Tool. Engage with Shank to learn about Tool's predicament. Essentially, Shank plans to capitalize on his friend's misfortune. Typical!
From this point, you've got two choices:
Option 1: Seek the Keycard
- This route spares your eddies but skips the iconic weapon. Johnny Silverhand gives this approach a thumbs up.
- Post-meeting with Shank, consult Judy Alvarez or Viktor regarding Tool's issue. You'll discover a fan letter addressed to Lina in Tool's cell. But to access him, you need a keycard.
- A clue on the laptop suggests the keycard's location near the entrance. Spot the breakable plant pots and destroy them to retrieve it.
- After freeing Tool and sharing a potential moment, he departs, intimidating Shank on his way out. Call Mr. Hands, and the task is done!
Option 2: Track Down the Real Lina Malina
- This choice lets you claim the iconic Baby Boomer weapon, but Lina's collaboration comes with a $10,000 eddie tag.
- Head to Lina's residence, navigate past (or confront) the gangsters, and knock on her door.
- Discuss the job with her and settle the $10,000 fee. Without payment, the mission halts.
- With the payment sorted, notify Shank. After some waiting, you'll receive a message about a dispute between Lina and Tool at the shop.
- Arrive at the scene, play the director, and wrap up the quest. Lina rewards you with the Baby Boomer weapon, topped with a bow, awaiting at the store.
