Deadpool & Wolverine New Trailer: Cast, Release Date, and All You Need To Know

We just got a new trailer for the Deadpool and Wolverine crossover that was first teased back during the Super Bowl. Ryan Reynolds himself decided to tease fans by releasing a movie poster just a few hours before the trailer was uploaded.

The new addition to Marvel Phase 5 is the most anticipated Marvel movie for 2024. From what we have seen in the trailers, the upcoming film looks to be a great mix of comedy and action. We are all excited to see how our two favorite frenemies will collaborate and what adventures lie ahead for them.

Despite being the third Deadpool movie, it seems that it is not considered part of a series. The film's director, Shawn Levy, described the new Marvel movie to ScreenRant in the following way:

“It also gave me an opportunity. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but it’s not Deadpool 3. It’s a different thing that’s very much Deadpool and Wolverine. And it’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies. They were awesome, but this is a two-hander character adventure.”

The collaboration between the two iconic characters is very promising, and it would be understandable why it would stand on its own instead of completing a trilogy.

In addition to the talented director, Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zed Wells were also announced as co-writers who will contribute ideas for the movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine: Cast

In addition to the lead actors Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, some well-known faces will make appearances in the movie. However, with the introduction of new characters, additional actors will be joining the cast for the upcoming film.

Deadpool & Wolverine: Plot and Release Date

Deadpool & Wolverine will first be available in UK cinemas on July 25, 2024, and will later premiere in the US on July 26, 2024.

As for the plot, not much has been revealed yet. Most of what we know is thanks to the two trailers. Here is the official movie synopsis:

Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.

In the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, we find out that this 'common enemy' is, in fact, Cassandra Nova. Another revelation made clear is that Wolverine somehow betrayed his universe, resulting in a loss of respect from the people. Deadpool will likely assist Wolverine in his efforts to atone for his unknown sins.

Furthermore, Loki fans will be excited to learn that Loki's Void location will play a major role in the events of the new Marvel movie. There are indeed many aspects of the movie contributing to the hype surrounding it.
