Given the Demon Slayer releases so far, it is not surprising that the studio that animates it, Ufotable, would make a trilogy. As you know, Demon Slayer already has three movies: The Mugen Train movie, To the Swordsmith Village, and To the Hashira Training movie. In fact, The Mugen Train movie became the highest-grossing anime movie of all time, beating even the classic Spirited Away! After reaching such success, it is easy to believe that Ufotable would choose a movie adaptation over a seasonal one for the final arc of the show as well.

Regarding the content of the trilogy, it is unlikely that it will contain only the Infinity Castle Arc. As you may know, the Infinity Castle Arc is the first part of Demon Slayer's final arc. The second part is the Sunrise Countdown Arc. The two parts of the final battle span from chapter 137 to chapter 205. Given that length, the contents of those manga chapters can fit well into a movie trilogy. Although Ufotable tends to break Demon Slayer movies into episodes for a later seasonal release, we don't think that would be the case if they release three movies since they will most likely be separated in time.

Although the leaks about the trilogy come from a very trustworthy source, there is no official announcement regarding Demon Slayer's final arc. The post on Jump Victory Carnival's website was immediately deleted after its accidental release.

Fans are expecting an official announcement from Ufotable following the broadcast of the upcoming and last episode of Demon Slayer Season 4. We have to wait until the release of Episode 8 on June 30 to find out whether the movie trilogy is official or not.

So far, every sequel of Demon Slayer, whether it be a movie or a season, has premiered about a year after the previously released adaptation of the anime. It is also highly likely that each of the movies will be released separately, with significant breaks between them. Considering these factors, we think it is safe to assume that the first movie from the Demon Slayer Infinity Arc Trilogy could come out one year from Episode 8's release, which would be in July 2025. Although we don't have a specific release window, a summer premiere is very likely.

What do you think? Will the movie trilogy turn out to be official, and if so, when will it be released? All we know is that the next episode of the Hashira Training Arc will definitely leave us on edge and eager to know what happens next.
