1. Hand-to-Hand Weapons
Don't forget to switch to two-handed mode when using these weapons. There isn't much visual difference but it will change their mechanics. Players can perform new moves like epic kicks and jumps. Some players suggest combining them with the new ashes, such as the 'The poisoned flower blooms twice', as hitting an already poisoned or rotting enemy will cause extra burst damage.
2. Throwing Blade
The Smith Script Axe and Smith Script Dagger are melee weapons that can be thrown and will instantly reappear in the wielder's hand. This feature offers a ranged option for Strength builds, mixing close combat effectiveness with the versatility of a ranged attack.
3. Light Great-Sword
Positioned between a light sword and a great-sword, the Light Great Sword is a versatile weapon. It's a little heavier than a light sword and a little less powerful than a great-sword. It's the best of both worlds! One notable weapon in this category is Milady, which boasts a unique Weapon Skill that creates a new stance. From this stance, players can execute a variety of combo attacks, including a leaping dive and a quick combo slice.

4. Reverse-Hand Sword
This weapon type is designed for reverse-grip style combat and it's excellent for dual-wielding. The Backhand Blade, a known weapon in this category, features a fast Weapon Skill that combines a back-step with a slice, allowing Elder Ring players to flank and attack enemies from their unprotected sides.
5. Thrusting Shields
These innovative shields let Shadow of The Erdtree players attack and defend simultaneously. However, those who have played the new Elden Ring DLC have noted that they may not be great at either. Despite this, thrusting shields add a unique tactical layer to defensive play.
6. Great Katana
This is a larger and more powerful variant of the traditional Elden Ring katana. The Great Katana comes with its own unique moveset. It is slower but deals significantly more damage per attack. This weapon is perfect for players who prefer a balance of precision and power. This weapon will surely be a fan favorite once the DLC is out.

7. Perfume Bottles
Originally used as consumables in Elden Ring, Perfume Bottles in the DLC now serve as weapons. While not ideal for boss fights, they can fling sparks of different elemental types, dealing frost or fire damage. They also offer a new moveset, allowing SOTE players to perform dashing and charged attacks that create explosive effects.
8. Beast Claw
Beast Claws are a new and wilder version of claw weapons. This weapon is different thanks to its unique moveset. It is designed for experienced players who can handle the vulnerability of close-range combat. The Beast Claw performs epic jumping slashes, and will surely be a menace in PvP.
