Enshrouded: Best Base Locations to Level Fast

Whether you're focusing on leveling, hunting powerful items, or farming beginner resources like Flint and Metal Scraps, building a base in a good location is a huge deal in Enshrouded's early game. Looking for the perfect spot to get your character up and running fast? This guide is for you. Here are 3 highly recommended early game base locations in Enshrouded!

Enshrouded: Choosing a Base Location

Here are a few things to think about when setting up your first home after moving out from the starting area.

1. Building on elevation. Try and build someplace high up so you can quickly move out from your base using your Glider. This is a huge efficiency boost in the early game when traversing the map can still be quite a pain.

2. Resource hotspots. Mining is an ultra-efficient way to level in Enshrouded. This makes setting up on or nearby mining nodes a huge deal.

3. Combat hotspots. Next to mining, killing level-appropriate enemies is also a great way to level. Don't be shy about setting up shop on the doorstep of your foes, especially enemies that drop key early-game resources like Metal Scraps. More on that later!

Best Base Locations in Enshrouded:

Enshrouded: Mining Base Location

Let's start with a mining camp! To the north of Vukah Ceremony Hill, you can find mining nodes for both Flint and Salt. Nestling a base in between these two mining spots (as seen below) is a great way to maximize your mining efficiency.

You'll also get easy access to the Shroud on both your east and west, with a nearby Elixir Well on the east side Shroud.

Enshrouded: Flint Mine Base Location

For all you archers out there, there's no better combat-heavy spot than the Small Flint Mine. With endless access to Flint, crafting arrows will be easy. You'll also have a Shroud Root spawn spot right on your doorstep.

This is a great spot for combat-driven players, with easy access to the Shroud on your north side, and Rookmore a little further to the south-west for farming Metal Scraps and XP.

Enshrouded: Ferndale Base Location

An alternative combat-heavy base location is just south of Ferndale. The warriors and scavengers in Ferndale are ripe for farming if you have the combat prowess to tackle them. Looking west, you'll also have access to some easier enemies in the Critter Nest, the Egerton Salt Mines, and a Shroud Root spot!

Wherever you decide to plonk your first base, don't sweat it too much! Setting up fast travel hubs in Enshrouded is par for the course, so you'll almost definitely end up moving on to a bigger and better home as you level.
