Enshrouded: Where to Get Resin

[Resin] is an important resource in the world of Enshrouded. Not only is it used to make a Staff, but it can also be used to Strengthen the Flame Altar which increases the number of Flame Altars you can have at one time, the time you can spend in the Shroud and more.

Where to Get Resin

Resin is actually quite an easy resource to obtain. It is generally found in trees and can drop from any tree in the game.

Note: Larger trees have a higher probability of dropping Resin

So if you want to get yourself some Resin then all you have to do is first get a sturdy axe and get to chopping!

How to Farm Resin Efficiently

Enshrouded is set up in a way that all of the trees that you’ve cut down respawn on each login, so after you’ve found an area that you like and have cut down all of the trees, all you need to do is log out and then back in, and the trees will have respawned. This will allow you to farm Resin for hours on end.

Where to Use Resin

Resin can be used in a number of recipes and the most notable one is the making of your first Staff. The Staff is one of the several weapon types in Enshrouded and by using Resin you can craft the most basic one. The resources needed for a Staff are as follows:

Bones x1
Resin x2

Another early use for Resin is your first Strengthening of the Flame Altar.
The first strengthening of the Flame Altar is a major point in any playthrough as it increases the following:

Altar Activation Capacity 2 > 4
Shroud Passage Level 1 > 2
Character Attribute Bonuses 0 > 1
Time in the Shroud 5 > 6 min

To strengthen your Flame Altar for the first time you will need the following resources:
Resin x5
Red Mushroom x5
Bones x5
Shroud Liquid x5
Spark x1
Animal Fur x5
