Fortnite v28.20 Update Release Date and Downtime
The next Fortnite update will launch on February 6, 2024, at 1 AM PT, marking the beginning of the game's downtime. During this period, players won't have access to the game. Typically, Fortnite's downtime lasts around 3 hours. Afterward, the Fortnite servers will go live, allowing players to enjoy the game again.
While Chapter 5 Season 1 might be close to its end, in preparation for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 on March 8, there are still a few more updates to look forward to. Check out the update schedule here.
Fortnite x TMNT Collab
Fortnite players can expect the release of TMNT Collab Part 2. This collaboration is scheduled to launch on February 9th, with the ongoing April O'Neil investigation setting the stage for the big event.
The Shredder skin has already been leaked, along with several instruments for the Fortnite Festival mode. Leaks also suggest that players will receive TMNT Mythic weapons, Augments, and the Pizza Party consumable item with Update 28.20. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will love the second round of cosmetics following the successful first collaboration between the two franchises.
LEGO Fortnite Update
Recently, Fortnite sent out a survey to players featuring upcoming buildings. Some of these buildings are expected to be included in the next update, expanding our LEGO worlds. Classic barns, futuristic, and even Medieval buildings are likely to be added. Additionally, players can expect new Fortnite outfits with LEGO variants, as is usual for each Fortnite update. A long list of skins is released with each update, so this should come as no surprise.
Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival are rumored to receive updates, but as of now, no leaks are suggesting what these might bring along.

New Skins
Fortnite introduces new skins with each update, and we can expect the same from this one. Shredder's outfit has already been confirmed by leakers, along with final images. Concept art for supposed new skins has also been released. Unfortunately, not much more is known about the upcoming outfits.
New Quests
Leaked Fortnite "Find Peely" quests have been active since the previous Fortnite update, but they were exclusive to brand-new accounts. With 28.20, these story quests will become available to all players.
