Fortnite Voice Reporting: How It Works & What You Need to Know

Fortnite just introduced voice reporting, adding a new tool to combat toxic behavior in the gaming community. Alongside features like blocking and muting, this update aims to create a healthier gaming environment.

What it Does

Players can now submit audio evidence when reporting unsportsmanlike behavior, reinforcing their claims of violated community rules. This is especially helpful in addressing harassment through voice chat.

How it Works

With voice reporting enabled, the game captures the last five minutes of voice chat audio on a rolling basis. Keep in mind that only the most recent 5 minutes are reportable, as Fortnite doesn't archive previous recordings. Reported voice recordings are sent to Epic Games for review.

Ensure your Voice Reporting is turned on through game audio settings to allow support access to these files. Selecting the "Off When Possible" option prevents recording while playing with friends who also have this option selected.

For Players Under 18 Years Old

Players under 18 will have Voice Reporting always on as a protective measure, and they won't be able to turn it off. If you're under 18 and prefer not to be recorded, you can mute yourself.
