There have been leaks that Emilie will offer an interesting playstyle that will focus on the burning reaction and will work a sub-dps of sorts, but none of that is yet confirmed.
For now, we know that Emilie has a beautiful design, just like the rest of the Fontaine cast. Given that she is a resident of Fontaine, you will be able to do the underwater jump with her as with any other Fontaine character.
It is interesting to see just where Emilie will find her place in the current meta of the game and just how versatile she will be with her teams, but that is a discussion for the future.

Emilie will be released in version 4.8, which is expected to be the final version before the introduction of Natlan in 5.0.
As of right now, the speculated release date for Genshin Impact 4.8 is July 17, 2024.
Given how HoYoverse goes about its drip marketing, we can expect Emilie to make an appearance in the first phase of version 4.8, which will start on July 17, giving you close to 7 weeks to save up for her if you’d like to get her.
