Tip 1 - Play at Your Own Pace
Whenever a new game comes out some people are eager to rush through everything to get to the endgame content, while others like to enjoy the story, take their time enjoying the scenery, music and all else.
What is important is that you play the game however you like so that you can get the most fun out of it!

Tip 2 - Get Characters Later
In Granblue Fantasy: Relink characters can be unlocked either through the story or through Character Cards.
When unlocking characters with Character Cards they are automatically leveled up to a level that is good for a part of the story that you are currently on.
In short, the more you wait to get characters using Character Cards, the stronger they are going to be when you get them later, and you won’t have to spend as much resources building them up to match your other characters.
As such you may consider holding off until you get certain characters using your Character Cards.

Tip 3 - Get Masteries
In Granblue Fantasy: Relink Masteries works like skills trees. They provide characters with new skills to use, as well as give them a huge amount of stat boosts or expand on their playstyle.
All in all, Masteries are something that should be done on all characters and it is not smart to hoard your Mastery Points (MP) because you can easily farm them later.
We recommend picking 4 characters that you will be using for the Story Mode of the game and leveling their Masteries equally.

Tip 4 - Do Fate Episodes
Fate Episodes are like character story missions that reward your characters with permanent stats, as well as additional Sigil slots.
These are available right after Chapter 1, so it is something great to do, to boost your characters’ strength fast. Fate Episodes are locked behind character levels and other things, so do them whenever they open up!

Tip 5 - Use Potions
In Granblue Fantasy: Relink you have 4 potions that you can use in combat. These Potions automatically fill up with each new quest you begin, so you do not need to worry about using them, or running out.
Potions are a great way to help you boost yourself through hard content, and make it easier to keep yourself alive even without a healer in the party. Given that they refill automatically it would be a waste not to use them!

Tip 6 - Debuffs
From other games you might be used to Bosses being immune to any type of heavy debuff like freezes, stuns and other.
However, in Granblue Fantasy: Relink that is not the case, and you can freeze enemies with the help of skills like those of Katalina’s or Lancelot’s dedicated freeze skills.
Laying heavy crowd control debuffs on bosses can help you deal a lot of damage to them, so do not be afraid to make good use of them!

Tip 7 - Sigils
Sigils are a really important part of Granblue Fantasy: Relink and work the same way relics would in Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail. They offer your characters amazing boosts to help their damage output or even survivability.
At the beginning you are given a lot of Sigils, however, you do not need to worry about them that much right now. Sigils become really important in endgame, but for the early game and beginners they are not that crucial.
If you would still like to put some Sigils, we recommend not going for the Attack Power ones, as those do not actually boost your damage that much.
Instead, we advise looking at Crit / Stamina or Tyranny Sigils as those will give you a bigger boost in damage, and we believe they are the best sigils for early game.
