This resource holds the key to unlocking potent incantations that can significantly boost Melinoe's abilities during her dangerous runs through the Underworld. How to Get Cattail in Hades 2

To get Cattail in Hades 2, you must first acquire Cattail seeds. These seeds can only be found by digging in the Oceanus biome using the Silver Spade tool, the same way you need to do with other seeds in the game.

However, accessing the Oceanus biome requires defeating the powerful Headmistress Hecate first. Once you reach Oceanus, keep an eye out for random dig spots that can give you the precious Cattail seeds.

How to Grow Cattail in Hades 2

After securing a few Cattail seeds, the next step involves preparing the soil for planting. Head to the Crossroads and interact with the Cauldron to unlock the Flourishing Soil incantation.

This ritual requires just one Moly, a yellow flower commonly found during runs. Upon unlocking Flourishing Soil, two soil plots will appear near Odysseus.

Interact with a soil plot, select the Cattail seed, and plant it with care. After completing nine encounters, the Cattail plant will reward you with a single Cattail item, ready to be used in powerful incantations.

How to Use Cattail in Hades 2

Cattail items are essential for unlocking many support incantations that can greatly help Melinoe in her journey. For example, the Surge of the Stygian Wells incantation (Moly x3 and Cattail x3) can make a Well of Charon appear during transitions between Underworld Regions. 

Another great incantation to be crafted with Cattail is the Purification of Fountain-Waters, which demands Nightshade x1 and Cattail x1. This ritual enhances the healing properties of fountains, allowing them to restore an additional 10% of Melinoe's life.

If you have extra Cattail, you can always visit the Wretched Broker to exchange each Cattail item for 12 bones.
