Helldivers 2: The Automatons' Defeat

Victory has never seemed so sweet for players of the hit game, Helldivers 2. Arrowhead Game Studios created a masterpiece that has millions of gamers battling giant alien bugs and highly advanced robots. Helldivers 2 is famous for taking inspiration from the classic movie Starship Troopers, and it seems the creator imagined what it would be like if Skynet from the Terminator franchise got involved.

The last Major Order, Swift Disassembly, was a success and as a community, helldivers crushed the robotic threat to democracy. Many fans of Helldivers 2 are now concerned about what this could mean for the game. We have subdued the two enemies of humanity and Super Earth will have peace.

The Automatons’ Defeat in Helldivers 2

The Swift Disassembly operation had a few phases but ended with a mass attack on three bot-controlled planets. Maia, Tibit, and Durgen fell after days of harsh battle.

You did it, Helldivers. Operation Swift Disassembly was a success! With the bots eradicated and bugs contained, the galaxy is free once more.

Theories amongst fans are that the Automatons were trying to bring back their parent race from the original Helldivers. The Cyborgs started as inhabitants of Super Earth but left in search of their own planets where they could build a new government that didn’t brainwash its people. Our predecessors blew them up for their lies, as any of us would have done.

What’s Next in Helldivers 2?

Fans are now worried about what could be coming next. We all highly doubt that Arrowhead will announce that the war is won and Helldivers 2 will become a strange version of Sims where we take our soldiers and teach them how to live a normal life. There has to be another enemy around the corner.

For a long time, players of Helldivers 2 have been reporting blue lasers coming from nowhere. There have been strange ships in the skies over planets. We can only speculate but covering Terminid planets in strange and powerful Termicide could easily create new mutated bugs.

The common opinion among the fans of Helldivers 2 is that we are about to enter a war with The Illuminate, the third enemy faction from the first game. There are still large sections of the galactic map undiscovered and that is a lot of space to be hiding in. We can only wait and see if Joel has something up his sleeve but players are getting ready for another opponent in this great war for liberty.
