Heroic Tavern Brawl Returns Returns to Hearthstone With Patch 29.2

If you've been playing Hearthstone for a while, you surely know about the Heroic Brawliseum. The intense arena-like brawl is returning to Hearthstone for the tenth time. This time, named Heroic Tavern Brawl, the competition is coming back to offer huge risks and even bigger prizes to all who dare to join the battles.

The latest Hearthstone Patch Note 29.2 teased the return of the Heroic Tavern Brawl and shared important details about its format, release date, and rewards. Find out all you need to know about the competition so you are fully prepared before it begins!

What Is a Heroic Tavern Brawl (Heroic Brawliseum)?

Tavern Brawls are typically conducted in two formats: Wild or Standard. This time, the games will be in the Standard format, which means that only cards from the most recent expansions will be allowed in the competition.

Unlike the usual Tavern Brawls, which are free to enter and offer a single pack as a reward, this special Heroic Tavern Brawl is more like an Arena run. Competing in a series of games against other brawlers with a similar win rate, each player fights for their survival. You can only lose three times before being eliminated. When you reach that number of losses or win twelve times, you will receive rewards corresponding to the number of wins you achieved.

Even if you don't win a single game, you will still receive a participation award of one pack. If you manage to win 12 games, you will earn amazing rewards that we will discuss below

When Is the Heroic Tavern Brawn and How to Enter? 

The Heroic Tavern Brawl historically lasts for one week, and this time is no exception. The brawl will take place from May 1 to May 8. Entrance to the Heroic Tavern Brawl will be locked 8 hours before the end of the event, as players who join at that late stage won't have enough time to complete all of their duels.

The admission fee for the Heroic Tavern Event will be 1000 Runestones (equivalent to $9.99 USD) or 1000 Gold. This entry cost is quite high, and the risk of joining is equally intense. If you don't achieve enough wins, you will incur a significant loss. However, after reaching a certain number of wins, you can easily earn more rewards than the cost of entry.

After paying the hefty admission fee, players construct a Standard deck from their collection, which they lock in and cannot change during the run. And with that, the games begin!

• 2 Wins = 3 Packs
• 3 Wins = 4 Packs, ~120 Dust, ~120 Gold
• 4 Wins = 5 Packs, ~190 Dust, ~190 Gold
• 5 Wins = 6 Packs, ~220 Dust, ~220 Gold
• 6 Wins = 7 Packs, ~250 Dust, ~250 Gold
• 7 Wins = 8 Packs, ~280 Dust, ~280 Gold
• 8 Wins = 9 Packs, ~310 Dust, ~310 Gold
• 9 Wins = 16 Packs, ~400 Dust, ~400 Gold
• 10 Wins = 16 Packs, ~400 Dust, ~400 Gold, 1 Random Golden Legendary
• 11 Wins = 16 Packs, ~480 Dust, ~480 Gold, 2 Random Golden Legendary
• 12 Wins = 50 Packs, ~1100 Dust, ~1100 Gold, 3 Random Golden Legendary

When considering these rewards, it's essential to remember that a Standard pack in Hearthstone costs 100 Gold (approximately $1.50 USD). On average, a pack yields around 40 Dust, and crafting a Legendary card requires 1600 Dust. You need to achieve at least 6 wins to break even. Reaching 12 wins will grant rewards with a value exceeding 5 times your admission fee in gold.
