Honkai Star Rail 2.0 : Recap, Release Date, Banners & More

The Version 2.0 - [If One Dreams At Midnight] Livestream for Honkai: Star Rail just ended today, January 26th and with it, we received a lot of new information for the game.

Version 2.0 is going to be Honkai: Star Rail’s biggest version to date and with it, it brings a ton of new content for players to experience.

Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 is speculated to release on February 6th, 2024, and here is all the new content that we announced during the livestream that took place today.

New Zone

With Version 2.0 of Honkai: Star Rail we finally get a new planet and with it an entirely new zone to explore.

This zone is called [Penacony], and it’s a world filled with jazzy vibes, vibrant posters and a lot of soda!

Penacony is sure to keep players interested for some time, and is sure to scratch everyone’s desire for something new in the game!

New Story

With the introduction of Version 2.0 Trailblazers will get to experience the continuation of the Honkai: Star Rail’s main story with the Trailblaze Mission:

Long Day's Journey Into the Night

The main story for Penacony will start with Version 2.0 and will continue until Version 2.2 with the epilogue coming in Version 2.3!

New Characters

There will be 3 new characters joining the Honkai: Star Rail roster in 2.0. Those three are:

• Black Swan
• Sparkle 
• Misha

All three are interesting additions offering a new type of playstyle for players to enjoy, so look at our guides for all three of them when you have the time to learn more about their kits and abilities!

New Banners

There will be two new limited character banners coming in version 2.0 and two re-running characters: Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan.

Phase One

The first phase of Version 2.0 will feature the Limited Character banners for:

• Black Swan
• Dang Heng Imbibitor Lunae

As well as the Limited Light Cone Banners for their signature Light Cones.

Phase Two

The second phase of Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 will feature the Limited Character Banner for:

• Sparkle
• Jing Yuan

As well as the Limited Light Cone Even Warps for their signature Light Cones.

New Relics

There will be two new relic sets that players will be able to farm in Version 2.0. Below you can see the full breakdown of the two sets and their effects:

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters

• 2-Piece: Increases DMG dealt to enemies with debuff by 12%.
• 4-Piece: Increases CRIT Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8%/12% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations

• 2-Piece: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  4-Piece: When the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, Break Effect for all allies increases by 30% for 2 turn(s). This effect cannot be stacked.

New Materials

In Penacony players will get to find even more new materials that they will use to both increase their character’s levels as well as their skills.

Some of these materials include:

• Dream Flamer
• Dream Fridge
• New Ascension Materials
• New Light Cone Materials
• and more!

New Light Cones

There will be a number of new light cones in the Light Cone Manifest Store for players to buy starting Version 2.0. If you have a lot of tokens stocked up then you can go wild with these!

New Features

There will be a ton of new features in Version 2.0. However, the most notable one is for sure the Atlas System that will allow players to relive the Honka: Star Rail story. We will explain all of the features in a follow-up articles so keep your eyes open for that.

New Events

As with any other Honkai: Star Rail version update, this time around we will be getting a ton of events that will give players a number of free rewards. Below you can see all of the upcoming events in Honkai: Star Rail 2.0!

• Event 3 - Dreamjolt TV
• Event 4 - Penacony Food Fest

Event 1 - Hanu’s Prison Break

This will be the main event of Version 2.0 and will offer players a lot of puzzle based mechanics to play with and earn a lot of rewards. Some of the event’s rewards include:

• Self-Modeling Resin
• Stellar Jade
• 4-star Selector
• Credits
• and more

Event 2 - Dreamchaser Bulletin

In this event player will have to fight against enemies to win prizes. Some of the free rewards include:

• Stellar Jade
• EXP Books
• Fuel
• Relic EXP
• New Materials

Event 3 - Dreamjolt TV

In this event players will face a series of waves of enemies which they will need to defeat to earn points and get rewards. Here are some of the event's rewards:

• Tracks of Destiny
• Stellar Jade
• Relic Fragments
• EXP Books
• Light Cone EXP

Event 4 - Penacony Food Fest

In this event players will have to cook delicious Penacony foods and give them to residents for rewards. Some of the event’s rewards include:

• Stellar Jade
• EXP Books
• Food

Event 5 - Gift ot Odyssey

As always players will be getting a 7-day log-in event which will give Trailblazers a total of 10 pulls if they log in the total of 7 days during Version 2.0’s duration.

Event 6 - Gift of Stellarium

As a thank you to players, and as a rewards for the release of Version 2.0 of Honkai: Star Rail, the developers will be giving out a total of 10 free pulls for players to claim upon the start of Version 2.0!

Summary

All in all, Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 surely brought in a lot of interesting things during the livestream. The version is sure to offer players a lot of new places to explore as well as many new enemies to fight. And not only that, the introduction of a lot of new characters that players can look forward to.
