Honkai Star Rail: Argenti Guide - Relics, Cones, Best Teams

Who is Argenti?

"Forthright and candid, this noble and admirable man wanders the cosmos alone, resolutely following the Path of Beauty."

Meet Argenti, the freshest addition to the Physical Type and the potential game-changer for the famously contentious Path of Erudition!

His banner runs from:

Which still gives you enough time to pull for him if you ever so wish.

He is a Physical Type Character whose strengths lie in dispatching multiple enemies. 
 
Argenti is also the first character that dabbles with the Ultimate mechanic of the game, allowing players to unleash two stages of his ultimate. 

But, before slotting him into your team, grasp the optimal way to build him. Below, we're spilling the beans on the ideal build, throwing in some free-to-play options, and suggesting team synergies to supercharge your account! Let's waste no time and get him ready for combat!

Argenti Best Light Cones

As like every other Erudition Character, most 4* Light Cones are somewhat sub-par and lacking compared to the Limited 5* ones, yet this does not mean that Argenti doesn’t have some good choices:

	An Instant Before a Gaze *****	Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 36/42/48/54/60%. When the wearer uses Ultimate, increases the wearer's Ultimate DMG based on their Max Energy. Each point of Energy increases the Ultimate DMG by 0.36/0.42/0.48/0.54/0.6%, up to 180 points of Energy.	A powerhouse of a Light Cone that boosts up Argenti with everything he needs from CRIT DMG to Ultimate DMG.
	Night On the Milky Way *****	For every enemy on the field, increases the wearer's ATK by 9/10.5/12/13.5/15%, up to 5 stacks. When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 30/35/40/45/50% for 1 turn.	Although only a bit weaker than Argenti’s Signature, Night on the Milky Way does offer Argenti a lot of ATK and boosts his Physical Break, which is the strongest Break Effect in the game.
	Before Dawn *****	Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 36/42/48/54/60%. Increases the wearer's Skill and Ultimate DMG by 18/21/24/27/30%. After the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate, they gain Somnus Corpus. Upon triggering a follow-up attack, Somnus Corpus will be consumed and the follow-up attack DMG increases by 48/56/64/72/80%.	Another power house Light Cone for any Erudition character. The Skill DMG increase might be slightly wasted on Argenti, but all the other effects more than make up for it.

If you haven't been able to pull any of the 5* Light Cones above, the following 4* are a great choice as well:

	Today is Another Peaceful Day ****	After entering battle, increases the wearer's DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by 0.2/0.25/0.3/0.35/0.4% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy.	This Light Cone does everything Argenti wants by boosting his Ultimate through the roof, however, it is only obtainable through the Battle Pass, so it is not one of the most F2P friendly.
	Geniuses' Repose ****	Increases the wearer's ATK by 16/20/24/28/32%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 24/30/36/42/48% for 3 turn(s).	Another solid Light Cone for Argenti as it offers a solid boost in ATK% as well as a hefty amount of CRIT DMG. If you have gotten lucky with the gacha it is certainly a viable choice.
	The Seriousness of Breakfast ****	Increases the wearer's DMG by 12/15/18/21/24%. For every defeated enemy, the wearer's ATK increases by 4/5/6/7/8%, stacking up to 3 time(s).	Another solid choice for Argenti, offering up a non-negligeable boost in ATK%

Regardless of which Light Cone you go with, Argenti is sure to help your team out against any Physical Weak Enemies!

Argenti Best Relics

Ah, relics, the ever so grindy part of HoYoverse’s games. Unlike his Light Cones, Argenti has one definitive best in slot Relic Set:

	Champion of Streetwise Boxing	2-Piece: Increases Physical DMG by 10%. 4-Piece: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 time(s).

Although not the best of sets to spend your Trailblaze Power on, it gives Argenti the best boost in strength, and if you happen to have Clara, you can also farm for her.

For the Planar Ornaments you have a variety of Sets to choose from, however, the best 3 picks will definitely have to go to:

	Firmament Frontline: Glamoth	2-Piece:  Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.
	Rutilant Arena	Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%.
	Inert Salsotto	2-Piece: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.

All in all, all three sets do Argenti no harm, and are going to boost his strength, so go with the piece with the best MAIN and SUB-STATS. Although, if you really wish to min-max things, then Firmament Frontline: Glamoth is the way to go.

As for main stats, well you'd find success going with the following:

Chest --> CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate

Feet --> SPEED / ATK

Planar Sphere --> Physical DMG

Link Rope --> ATK% / *Energy Recharge

As for sub-stats aim for the following on all pieces:

1: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG% 

2: SPD (until breakpoint) 

3: ATK%

Team Synergies

Argenti, while not having the best team versatility, can be used on a lot of teams with decent Energy battery supports such as, Huohuo or Tingyun. Furthermore, Hanya, that is currently on Argenti’s banner, is a spectacular support for him as well, supplying the whole team with a ridiculous amount of SP (Skill Points).

Overall, Argenti's most premium team. Tingyun and Huohuo supply energy like the perfect batteries that they are, while Argenti does all the damage dealing with Hanya's help. If you have the units, you can't go wrong with this team.

Argenti Hypercarry Team:

Argenti	Bronya	Tingyun	Luocha

Writer's Comment:

This team, while performing good, is not as good as the one mentioned above, mostly due to lacking the necessary energy supply, that came in the form of Huohuo. Nonetheless, with the addition of Bronya and Luocha, you do not have to worry about Argenti dying or not having enough turns. Another sturdy hypercarry team that will surely carry you through the Simulated Universe or Memory of Chaos.

Writer's Comment:

If you've been pulling for Argenti, the you must have definitely gotten a copy of Hanya to support him. As for the other two, Natasha is given out for free, while you might have to stumble upon some luck with the Gacha to get Asta, but even if you do not have her, you can always swap her for either Tingyun, Bronya, or any other decent support that you might have. Even Pela does wonders with her DEF Down.

Regardless of how you use him, Argentin, like any other Main DPS, will do great when paired with two supports and a sub-dps or healer.

Overall, Argenti is an interesting addition to Star Rail’s roster and is our first Limited 5* Physical Character. His unique Ultimate and ease of building make him a good pick for new players, and although he follows the ‘cursed Path of Erudition’ he might as well be the one to finally break that curse.
