Honkai Star Rail: Version 1.6 Release Date, Banners & More

Version 1.6 Release Date

Honkai Star Rail’s Version 1.6 “Crown of the Mundane and Divine” is set to release on:

December 27th

The version is set to run for a total of 6 weeks, going over into the beginning of February, when we can expect the next Version of the game. Players will have a lot of interesting things to look forward to in Version 1.6, and you can check out some of them below!

Banners

Version 1.6 will offer two new banners and two returning banners for players to pull on, with three new characters joining Honkai Star Rail’s roster!

The new Characters coming this time around are: 

• Ruan Mei - an Ice Type character following the Path of Harmony
• Dr. Ratio - an Imaginary Type character following the Path of the Hunt
• Xueyi - a Quantum Type character following the Path of Destruction

Events

Event 1: Critter Pick

Trailblazers will be tasked with looking after the cute critters jumping around everywhere. It will offer an interesting type of gameplay, and is sure to bring a lot of cuteness to the game!

Event 2: Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears

Ah, yes! Another expansion to the Simulated Universe! Players will have the option of now choosing the Path of Erudition in the Simulated Universe and this new update to the Simulated Universe will strive to separate Dice from Paths, giving players more choices and diversity when playing!

Event 3: Virtual Scentventure

In this event players will battle certain enemies and strive to obtain points to get all of the rewards! The Event will feature two difficulties: 

• Normal Mode
• Despair Mode

Giving new challengers to Trailblazers!

Event 4: Planar Fissure

Planar Fissure is coming yet again, giving Trailblazers the opportunity to farm for all of the Ornaments they need!

Event 5: Realm of the Strange

Realm of the Strange is going to be following after the Planar Fissure event, allowing players to farm for all of their needed Relics!

Event 6: Pure Fiction

A new type of permanent game mode, giving players the opportunity to earn a lot more Stellar Jade on a regular basis! Players will face waves of constantly respawning enemies trying to obtain points for which they will later receive rewards!

Event 7: Gift of Oddysey

As per usual, players will have the chance to get 10 Free Star Rail Special Passes to use on the Limited Character or Light Cone Banners! Do not miss this, as it will only be live until the end of Version 1.6!

Features

Memory of Chaos New Stages

Memory of Chaos (MOC) will be offering players two new stages: Stage 11 & Stage 12.
As with previous stages, players will be able to get a total of 6 stars for clearing the stages giving them an additional 120 Stellar Jade. Bringing the total Stellar Jade for a Memory of Chaos run to: 720 Stellar Jade! Furthermore, players who clear stages 11 and 12 will receive a new type of currency which they can exchange for Self Moduling Resin and other rewards!

Memory of Chaos Auto Clear

In Version 1.6 of Honkai Star Rail, players will no longer need the clear the entirety of Memory of Chaos! By perfectly clearing a further Stage in the Memory of Chaos, players receive all stars for all of the previous stages! This goes up to Stage 7, meaning that if a player is able to clear Stage 7 with three stars, then they will get all of the other stars from Stages 1 to 6!

Memory of Chaos Loadout Save

Memory of Chaos now remembers the loadouts you used to beat a certain Stage, so you will no longer have to manually input all of your characters each time you try to clear, or re-clear a Stage!

Easier Dailies

In the livestream it is mentioned that in Version 1.6, Trailblazers will have an easier time of completing Daily Training missions

Calyx Limited Time Feature

With the Calyx Limited Time Feature, players will be able to access Calyxes that they have yet to discover, for a limited amount of time. Meaning that you can farm for materials in Calyxes in maps that you have not unlocked yet!

Free Dr. Ratio

A bombshell of a reveal at the Version 1.6 Livestream was the addition of a free copy of Dr. Ratio for all Honkai Star Rail Players. This free copy comes from the developers' thanks to the player for supporting the game and all of the rewards that Honkai Star Rail has won in 2023. Summary

From the looks of it Honkai Star Rail Version 1.6 will bring a lot of fresh things to the game for the players to enjoy!

Apart from welcoming the three new characters: Ruan Mei, Dr. Ratio and Xueyi We will also receive a number of interesting-looking events that will definitely have us playing until the next version comes along. And the new QOL (Quality of Life) Features, that are seemingly aimed at saving time for players, are bound to have more players returning and maybe even getting in some new players along the way. And let’s not forget Penacony’s Teaser at the end of the livestream! Honkai Star Rail certainly has a lot of good stuff for their players in recent months!
