Honkai Star Rail: Xueyi Kit, Skills, Materials & Banner

Let us welcome, Xueyi! Honkai Star Rail’s newest 4-star Quantum Type unit, following the Path of Destruction. Xueyi will be releasing in the First Half of Version 1.6 alongside Ruan Mei and Blade. In this guide we will cover all you need to know about Xueyi, her skills and ascension materials!

Who is Xueyi

One of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission. Of the four duties of a judge (detention, interrogation, incarceration, and punishment), she is charged with detention.

Xueyi will be joining the Honkai Star Rail’s roster, making her place among the other 4-star Destruction characters, such as: Arlan and Hook.

Being a Destruction character, Xueyi is sure to dish out some good damage, and being a Quantum Type character is certainly going to make finding a place for her in your teams a bit easier.

Xueyi Kit and Skills

Given that Xueyi is a Destruction character, her skills revolve around dealing with more than one enemy. Xueyi is a character that focuses on reducing an enemy’s Toughness and dealing more DMG the more Break Effect she has. Furthermore she launches a follow-up attack after an enemy’s Toughness has been reduced several times. Below you learn all about her kit:

Biotic Grenade

• Deals Quantum DMG equal to 50% (100%) of Xueyi’s ATK to a single target enemy.

Biotic Grenade

• Deals Quantum DMG equal to 70% (140%) of Xueyi’s ATK to a single enemy, and Quantum DMG equal to 35% (70%) of Xueyi’s ATK to any adjacent enemies.

ult

Biotic Grenade

• Deals Quantum DMG equal to 150% (250%) of Xueyi’s ATK to a single target enemy. This attack ignores Weakness Types and reduces the enemy’s Toughness. When the enemy’s Weakness is Broken, the Quantum Weakness Break effect is triggered.
• In this attack, the more Toughness is reduced, the higher the DMG will be dealt, up to a max of 36% (60%) increase.

Biotic Grenade

• Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering combat, deals 80% of Xueyi’s ATK as Quantum DMG to all enemies.

Biotic Grenade

• When Xueyi reduces enemy Toughness with attacks, Karma will be stacked. The more Toughness is reduced, the more stacks of Karma are added, up to 8 stacks.
• When Xueyi’s allies reduce enemy Toughness with attacks, Xueyi gains 1 stacks of Karma.
• When Karma reaches the max number of stacks, immediately launches a follo-up attack against an enemy target, dealing DMG for 3 times, with each time dealing Quantum DMG equal to 45% (90%) of Xueyi’s ATK to a single random enemy. This follow-up attack will not add Karma stacks.

Trace 1

Clairvoyant Loom

• Increases DMG dealt by this unit by an amount equal to 100% of Break Effect, up to a maximum DMG increase of 240%.

Intrepid Rollerbearings

• If the enemy target's Toughness is higher than 50% of their Max Toughness, deals 10% more DMG when using Ultimate.

Perspicacious Mainframe

• Xueyi will keep a tally of the number of Karma stacks that exceed the max stack limit, up to 6 stacks in the tally. After Xueyi's Talent is triggered, she will gain a corresponding number of tallied Karma stacks.

Xueyi Banner

Xueyi will release as one of the rate-up 4-star characters on Ruan Mei and Blade’s Limited Character Banners in the First Wave of Version 1.6 
The First Wave banner of Version 1.6 is expected to start from December 27th.

Should you pull for Xueyi

Xueyi is certainly an interesting character, focusing on follow-up attacks and Toughness breaks. Given her reliance on follow-up attacks, she might become a great sub-DPS unit for teams featuring Topaz and Numby. 

Her being a 4-star does limit her potential a bit, however, the great thing in Honkai Star Rail is that even 4-star characters are quite viable in almost any team. As such, those wanting to use Xueyi shouldn’t have to worry that much.

However, as she is a 4-star character, players aren’t guaranteed to get Xueyi on Dr. Ratio’s Limited Character Banner. The general consensus among the HoYoverse community is not to pull for 4-stars, but if you’re pulling for Dr. Ratio then she might come in as a good surprise!
