Kingdom Come: Deliverance came out in 2018 and as an indie game, it didn’t get the recognition it deserved. It was slightly buggy and didn’t have the best launch but some gamers think that the biggest problem for most players is the difficulty. KCD never holds your hand and leads you to the answer.
The historical realism and the authenticity of the RPG make everything harder. There was never an easy answer. True to the time period KCD was set in, nothing is easy.
Combat isn’t hack and slash. It is dangerous and you have to be constantly alert. You have to learn your letters before you can read. You have to make a name for yourself. This isn’t to make it harder for us. It is simply because that was the way things were back then.

When is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Set?
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 takes place around 1403, during the war between King Wenceslaus IV and his half-brother King Sigismund. Some time has passed but nothing more than a few months. The first game ended without the main character actually completing his goals so it was obvious that when a sequel came, it was going to follow Henry’s story.
This second game will be a direct continuation of the story. Many fans have speculated that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will start exactly where we left off with Henry and Hans heading to Trosky Castle. You can see the castle multiple times in the trailer and we are all eager to visit the famous landmark.

Where is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Set?
We know that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be twice the size of the original RPG and is split into two locations. Most of the game will be set in or around the city of Kuttenberg. The city is famous for its silver mines which will likely play a role in the story at some point. Kuttenberg challenged the developers when it came to the pure scale of such a city that in its day rivaled that of Prague, the capital of the kingdom.

Every single NPC has a house, job, and life so finding beds for the hundreds of people to make a city like Kuttenberg proved difficult. The other region you will explore is the Bohemian Paradise. Here you will be able to visit the aforementioned Trosky Castle. The Bohemian Paradise is a nature reserve in our modern times but back in medieval times, it would have been a beautiful but perilous place to find yourself.
That’s everything you need to know about the setting and time period of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Warhorse Studios has previously been true to medieval Europe and made their gameplay believable in every aspect. We will see if they have maintained that great element that made Kingdom Come: Deliverance such a beloved game.
