Kingdom Come: Deliverance: Is Third Person Camera Possible?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance has recently come back into the limelight when Warhorse Studios finally announced a sequel. The first installment of the franchise has many issues and bugs but for the most part, it’s beloved by its fans. You play Henry as he changes from a simple blacksmith’s son to a knight trusted by local lords.

One thing that has frustrated players over the six years since Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s release is that the RPG is only in the first person. You can spend hours finding the best armor and weapons but the only way you can appreciate everything is by looking at the menu. So people have asked over and over if there is a way to switch to third-person and get a proper view of Henry in all his glory.

Is Third Person Camera Possible in Kingdom Come: Deliverance?

The official answer to this question is easy. There is no way to switch to a third-person camera in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Warhorse Studios has stood by this decision because many people find it better for RPGs. It does help build a sense of immersion that you can’t match with a third-person view.

There are mods available on PC that bypass this limitation but many gamers have reported that it doesn’t work well and can be buggy so we do not recommend it. You will need a lot of permissions and the latest version of the game but if you really want to experience Kingdom Come: Deliverance in the third person, you can. For the console gamers, there is no way around this issue.

Will Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Have Third Person Camera?

We don't know if Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will have third person camera yet. Fans of KCD have asked Warhorse Studios to add a choice in the second game and we will have to see if they choose to listen. They have previously remained adamant that they believe Kingdom Come: Deliverance should be a first-person experience because it makes everything from combat to exploration better and easier.

We might be able to see Henry from a third-person camera view in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 but this is speculation. Many games have the option and that is all we are asking for. It is clear that the combat system would not work well in the third person but we would like the choice. We will have to see for ourselves when Warhorse Studios launches the sequel.
