How to Choose a Faction in Last Epoch?

To become part of a faction in Last Epoch, you need to progress to Chapter 9, which is the final part of the game. Once you arrive in the city of Maj'elka, you'll start a quest named "Merchants and Fortune Tellers." After you complete it, the NPC Zerrick will teach you about each faction.

You don't have to stick to your first choice right away. You can learn about what the Merchant's Guild and Circle of Fortune offer before making a decision. Here are the perks of each faction:

• Circle of Fortune: Focuses on solo and group play. Increases the chance of finding unique items and aids in acquiring rare Exalted and Set items.
• Merchant's Guild: This is the trading guild. It introduces an 'Auction House' system in Last Epoch.

You can browse what's for sale, set filters to locate specific items, purchase with Gold, or sell your own items. Trading incurs a small Favor cost, so continuous trading without engaging in gameplay isn't possible.

Items you purchase become exclusively yours and cannot be resold. This prevents the practice of buying items to sell them at a higher price.
