Domination Runetree Changes

REMOVED

  • Predator
  • Ingenious Hunter

Hail of Blades

Ranged champions used to take a smaller risk to get the same value out of Hail of Blades. The change to attack speed will adjust this.

  • Attack Speed: 110% ⇒ 80% (ranged champions) / 110% (melee champions)

Sudden Impact

Eliminating lethality and magic penetration from the system is one of the main tasks Riot has set for itself. The changes are making sure that Sudden Impact maintains a relatively consistent level of effectiveness both in terms of input and output power, while also ensuring its scaling remains more consistent over time.

  • Dealing damage to an enemy champion within 4 seconds of using a dash or blink, or exiting from stealth, grants 9 lethality and 7 magic penetration for the next 5 seconds. 4 second cooldown. ⇒ Damaging basic attacks and ability damage deal 20-80 (based on level) bonus true damage to an enemy champion within 4 seconds of using a dash or blink, or exiting from stealth. 10 second cooldown.
Relentless Hunter

Relentless Hunter

Riot thinks Relentless Hunter has been preforming too well in LoL. This nerf wants to balance the rune.

  • Out of Combat Movement Speed: 5 + 8 per stack ⇒ 0 + 8 per stack

Precision Runetree Changes

REMOVED

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Overheal
  • Legend: Tenacity

Press the Attack

Players haven't been happy with Press the Attack. To help those who relied on the rune, it has been revamped. Instead of debuffing enemies, it now buffs the user directly. This allows for more versatile play, like switching targets without losing the damage boost. Plus, this self-buff doesn't stop you from triggering three-hit effects later on!

  • Hitting an enemy champion with 3 consecutive basic attacks deals 40-180 bonus adaptive damage (based on level) rendering the target Exposed for 6 seconds, causing them to take 8% increased damage from all sources for the duration ⇒ Hitting an enemy champion with 3 consecutive basic attacks deals 40-180 (based on level) bonus adaptive damage and amplifies your damage dealt by 8% until you leave combat

Absorb Life NEW

Absorb life is a new rune which will be located in row 1, giving the runetree some healing.

  • Row: 1
  • Killing a target restores 2-17 health

Legend: Haste

NEW

Legend: Tenacity has been replaced with Legend: Haste in LoL Patch 14.10. This new rune targets a new stat that would catch users who weren't already satisfied by Attack Speed or Lifesteal.  This rune will be in row 2.

  • Row: 2
  • Gain 1.5 Ability Haste for every Legend stack (max 15 AH at 10 stacks)
Fleet Footwork

Fleet Footwork

It seemed like this rune's healing was too OP so Riot is nerfing it. To balance things, LoL is shifting some power into the movement speed instead.

  • Healing: 10-130 linear ⇒ 8-110 linear
  • Movement Speed Duration: 1 second ⇒ 1.25 seconds

Resolve Runetree Changes

Front of Life

Front of Life

Font of Life's input and output pattern wasn't satisfying. It also had a low engagement rate. Riot is fixing these issues with a buff:

  • Slowing or immobilizing an enemy champion marks them for 4 seconds. Allied champions (excluding you) that use a basic attack against marked enemies are healed for 5 (+ 0.9% of your maximum health) over 1.75 seconds. ⇒ Slowing or immobilizing an enemy champion heals you and a nearby ally with the least health for 10-50 health (70% for ranged users). 20-second cooldown.

Inspiration Runetree Changes

The Inspiration Runetree is going through some rearranging in LoL Patch 14.10. This means you'll find the well-known runes in different rows the next time you open a rune page:

  • Row 1: Hextech Flashtraption, Magical Footwear, Cash Back
  • Row 2: Triple Tonic, Timewarp Tonic, Biscuit Delivery
  • Row 3: Cosmic Insight, Approach Velocity, Jack Of All Trades

REMOVED

  • Future's Market
  • Minion Dematerializer
Cash Back

Cash Back

NEW

This new rune will help League of Legends players get items quicker.

  • Row: 1
  • Get 6% gold back when you purchase legendary items

Jack of All Trades

NEW

This rune gives you a great boost and has a huge potential to be the next big thing in League of Legends builds.

  • Row: 3
  • For each unique stat on items you have purchased, get a stacking bonus:
  • Get 1 Ability Haste per stack
  • At 5 stacks, get 10 Adaptive Force
  • At 10 stacks, get 25 Adaptive Force
Time Warp Tonic

Time Warp Tonic

Time Warp Tonic is getting a buff to its healing, making it way more useful on the Summoner's Rift.

  • Row: 3 ⇒ 2
  • It no longer reduces the healing of potions.
  • Upfront Healing: 30% ⇒ 40%
  • Removed the bonus movement speed for the duration of potions
First Strike

First Strike

With First Strike, Riot Games is lowering the ceiling for gold gain while bringing up the floor. The gained gold is supposed to remain the same while snowballing players will not be able to spike gold to an unhealthy degree.

  • Gold Gained: 5 (+8% damage dealt) ⇒ 15 (+4% damage dealt)
  • Damage Amp: 7% ⇒ 8%

These were all the changes in League of Legends runes. You might be wondering how this will change the champion meta. We'll update our LoL tier lists very soon!
