LoL Tier List - Best Support Champions in Patch 14.9

Blitzcrank is a great pick if you would like to make your enemy team dread stepping up to your ADC. Your hook can decide a fight in a matter of seconds so practice your skillshots with this strong pick.

Pyke has risen to the top as it seems his kit is even stronger with the current support items, as his roaming capabilities can easily turn the tide in skirmishes around Voidgrubs.

Janna has become a staple enchanter support as Riot has returned some of her agency, making her a reliable pick to allow your ADC to survive ganks and 2v2s.

Thresh is once again a staple pick in the bot lane as his kit enables a lot of playmaking champions to play aggressively, especially around objectives or tower dives.

Braum is picking up the pace in terms or win rate so if you are looking for a new main, then look no further.

Sona is seeing even more play after her changes, making her quite the strong enchanter so you can try her out for some easy wins. 

Leona is slowly coming back into relevancy as the tower diving potential is even greater this time around given the new map terrain changes.

Nami has seen some buffs in Patch 14.7 so she has become a more viable enchanter.

Renata is once again climbing up the ladder, as her utility and well-rounded kit make her a very rewarding support, especially when faced against immobile opponents.

Brand is once again climbing up the ranks in the bot lane. His damage and item optimization make up for a quite efficient and powerful support that can effectively negate any overly-aggressive players.

Zilean is very strong, and what possibly sets back this champion is the fact that his kit is not very fun to play. 

Bard has always been a difficult champion to place tier-wise. He is excellent at roaming and can offer a lot of great engage or disengage options, however, he has a rather steep learning curve.

This sad mummy is picking up some slack as a support. His CC, coupled with his tankiness can allow your ADC to excel, especially if you are primed to fight often in the bot lane.

Despite the massive nerf to her passive, Senna can still be a great scaling support if you opt for a more slow, but threatening playstyle.

Pantheon is slowly improving meta-wise. Despite his aggressive playstyle, you can still get some easy 2v2 kills if your opponents underestimate your full rotation.

Tahm Kench has seen better days, and although you can still utilize his kit quite effectively to disrupt overly-aggressive enemies, you are still left wanting more from this champion currently.

Xerath does not offer enough damage and utility to make him as viable as other poke-heavy supports. Although you might find some minor success here and there, ultimately, you should opt for a far better champion for this patch.

Rumble had some presence in pro play, but his niche playstyle will not allow you to fully exploit his insane damage, as you can easily fall behind if your ADC does not understand how Rumble support works.
