In Manor Lords, your village is only as good as the people working and their abilities to do their job as fast as they can. You can only do so much to help with that. Placing buildings next to each other could speed up the production of certain items but in the long scheme of things, you can do very little to help your villagers get on with their job.
One thing you can do is buy animals to make everyone's lives a little easier in Manor Lords. You can acquire oxen or mules to help move things around your village but you will want to get yourself a nice horse. They are expensive and in short supply so think before you buy. Horses aren’t used for what you might think, at least not yet.
