What Are Symbiote Nests?

In the game "Marvel's Spider-Man 2," you'll find bad structures called Symbiote Nests. Your job, playing as Spider-Man, is to destroy them using something called a Sonic Burst. This guide will show you how to do that and tell you about some special nests.

Starting the Hunt for Symbiote Nests

These nests become part of the game after Spider-Man characters Peter and Miles wreck the first nest in a task named "Set Things Right." You'll find ten nests in the game, but only five show up in the beginning. The rest come out to play after the "It’s All Connected" mission. They look like big, scary towers made of Symbiote stuff.

Destroying the Nests

Here's how you smash these nests: you start a Sonic Burst, then protect the nest's heart until a timer runs out. But watch out! Mean Symbiotes will try to smash the Sonic Burst. If you keep the heart safe until the timer ends, the Burst goes off, blowing up the heart, the bad tower, and the Symbiotes near it.

Where Are the Symbiote Nests?

You'll find the first nests in Harlem, the Upper East Side, and Astoria. More will show up later. Here are some special ones:

1. Financial District Nest: This one has two hearts! That means more places for the Symbiotes to attack. But don't worry—the Sonic Burst is stronger here.

2. Upper East Side Nest: There are two nests here. Like the Financial District Nest, these also have two hearts.

   

3. Little Odessa Nest: This one's tricky! The heart hides and then pops up somewhere else, kind of like in the game Whack-a-Mole.

4. Astoria Nest: This nest also has two hearts, so be ready for a challenge.

   

5. Chinatown Nest: This nest is under a car! You'll need to use your webs to move the car and find it.

   

Rewards From Destroying Nests

For each nest you destroy, you get points (1200 experience) and 4 Hero Tokens. If you destroy all 10 nests, you get a special suit for Miles. It's called "King in Black," and it looks like something from a Marvel comic book.
