Spider-Man 2 Story Timeline Details

Creative director Brian Intihar provided insights into the game's timeline during an interview with Press Start. According to Intihar, the events of Spider-Man 2 take place approximately 10 months after those of the Miles Morales game. He emphasized that at this point, Peter and Miles have formed a fantastic crime-fighting team.

Expanding on the timeline, Intihar explained, "It’s about 10 months after the events of Miles Morales, so Miles has kind of gone through his journey to understand what kind of Spider-Man he wants to be, and he and Peter are a great team. And that’s kind of where we kick things off at the beginning of this game."

Considering that the first Spider-Man game occurred in 2018–19 and Miles Morales' story unfolded in late 2020, Spider-Man 2 is set in 2021, with a 10-month gap between it and its predecessor.

Explaining the Timeline

While the gameplay trailer hinted at six months passing before Kraven the Hunter arrived in New York, it's important to note that by that time, Peter had already adopted the Symbiote Suit.
