Ever since the release of the Open Beta version of MultiVersus, fans have been looking forward to all the new additions and improvements that the new release of MultiVersus has to offer. However, despite the hard work of the team, the game is still running into some major issues.
Although it's extremely rare for developers to remove a character from a fighting game after he's been made available, MultiVersus has officially announced that Iron Giant is being temporarily disabled due to issues that cannot be immediately fixed.
The most interesting part is that MultiVersus didn't remove the character only from the online mode but also from every other aspect of the game. So will the Iron Giant actually return? This is what the MultiVersus team had to say about it:
Thank you MVPs for alerting us about the current issues surrounding Iron Giant. We have decided to bring him back into the shop for maintenance. During this time, you will not be able to play with him, but we are working and will update you next week on his status.

Fans definitely have a lot of hopes about Iron Giant getting fixed in the span of a week, but many people already commented on the fact that he might not return to the game at all.

However, this is not the first occasion of MultiVersus removing a beloved character from the roster. Morty was banned from being selected for Ranked mode in the Open Beta version of MultiVersus for a little while, and LeBron James followed the same path shortly after. MultiVersus made another similar post at the time, explaining the situation:

Although waiting a whole week to get Iron Giant back isn't ideal, it's still better than never seeing him again in MultiVersus, especially considering that people spent real money on the character. Some players even shared that the new release of MultiVersus feels more like a beta version than the previous one.
