With Diablo 4's huge itemization rework, as well as the recent release of Last Epoch, 2024 is already looking like one of the best years for fans of the ARPG genre, and yet there is another title that will make some waves in the coming weeks - No Rest for the Wicked. With a soulslike combat system, as well as resource gathering, crafting, and housing, Moon Studios are bringing their own innovative takes on the genre, and you can also expect to get a lot of mileage from the Early Access release alone. The game is launching on April 18th, and you can even earn a few extra rewards if you watch your favorite content creators on Twitch.

With the game featuring a beautiful handcrafted art style with a long view distance and volumetric lighting, you might be wondering what kind of specs you are going to need in order to run the game at a stable frame rate. Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements for the No Rest for the Wicked Early Access.

No Rest for the Wicked PC Requirements: Minimum and Recommended Specs

The No Rest for the Wicked system requirements are finally out, and it seems like the game is a bit heavier to run than what we expected. The developers are recommending an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070Ti for a stable 60fps on 1080p, which is quite surprising considering the game is a top-down isometric RPG. There are a few clarifications that we are going to go over in a bit, but it's also worth noting that you are going to need 35GB of available space on your drive, and the developers recommend that you use an SSD. Here are both the minimum and recommended specs for the No Rest for the Wicked Early Access:

  Minimum Recommended

Processor Intel Core i5-8400
AMD Ryzen 5 2600

Even though these requirements are quite heavy for a top-down game that is going for a unique art style rather than pure graphic fidelity, these specs might be a bit of an overestimation. Gennadiy Korol, the co-founder of Moon Studios, stated that "these official specs, which were deduced from a much earlier game build," and that they are "seeing 60fps+ on 2060" in their testing. Even if you do not meet the requirements that were posted by the developers, your system might still be stronger than what is needed in order to have a stable frame rate. Here is the full quote from the co-founder of Moon Studios:

Gennadiy Korol - Moon Studios Co-founder

To all those concerned with these official specs which were deduced from a much earlier game build. The game plays much better than they would suggest, especially with quality adjustments in the settings.

We are seeing 60fps+ on 2060 in our testing. There will be some dips and a handful of spots where perf will be a bit lower, but for the most part we're happy with how it's performing Day1 for our EA launch!

We will work with the relevant parties to adjust the recommended specs in the near term future.

Only time will tell how optimized the game is going to end up being, but we hardly expect anything close to the recent release of Dragon's Dogma 2. We recommend waiting for some reviews to come out if your system is anywhere close to the required specs, and keep in mind that you can refund the game on Steam if it ends up being too heavy for your machine. No Rest for the Wicked's Early Access officially launches on April 18th on PC.
