One Piece Live-Action Season 2: New Co-Showrunner and Cast Members
There will be some slight changes in the crew for One Piece Season 2. While Matt Owens will continue in his roles as writer, co-showrunner, and producer of the show alongside his co-showrunner partner Steve Maeda, we are also welcoming a new addition to the team.
Joining the original producers of One Piece's Live-Action will be Joe Tracz, who will also serve as a co-showrunner in Season 2. Joe Tracz is known for writing popular shows such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Joe Tracz expressed his excitement to work on the show and his genuine interest in Eiichiro Oda's work.
"I’ve been lucky to work on big adaptations of several beloved series, and they don’t come bigger or more beloved than One Piece. I’m a huge fan of Oda-san’s incredible imagination and I was blown away by what the live-action team created in Season One. So it’s a dream and a joy to come aboard the Going Merry as it enters the Grand Line for an even more giant Season Two."

With his experience and enthusiasm, Tracz will certainly make valuable contributions to the production process for Season 2. It's reassuring to see that the adaptation of One Piece is in good hands with individuals who are passionate about enhancing the show.
However, Joe Tracz is not the only addition to Season 2's team. It has been announced that both Smoker and Tony Tony Chopper will make their first appearances in the live-action this season. We are excited to see our favorite reindeer brought to life in the One Piece adaptation.
