Double Trouble Unleashed in Overwatch 2 Patch Notes March 18

Double Trouble is a game mode that harks back to the early days of Overwatch 1. It shakes up the traditional hero selection mechanics, allowing players to select up to two of the same heroes in the Damage and Support roles. However, to maintain balance, there is still a cap of one player per team in the Tank role.

In Role Queue, games will permit players to choose two of the same heroes in the Damage and Support roles, while in Open Queue, teams can have a maximum of two duplicates of any hero at any given time. This change promises to introduce a fresh layer of strategy and chaos to the gameplay experience in Overwatch 2.

Double Trouble Schedule

Fans of the classic Overwatch experience will want to mark their calendars, as Double Trouble is only available for a limited time. The event will take over the Quick Play ruleset for a mere 24 hours, ending at 11:00 AM PDT on Tuesday, March 19th.
