According to the developers at Pocketpair, the odds of finding a Lucky Pal are so small that you should, on average, be able to locate one every ten hours or so. Keep in mind that these are only the average odds of coming across a Lucky Pal. In my 25-hour playthrough, I have not been able to find a single one so far, while a friend of mine has already captured multiple. It also seems like there is no way to increase the odds of finding one with any in-game items or by going to certain locations in the open world.

There are a few ways to differentiate a Lucky Pal from a normal Pal. Lucky Pals are going to be significantly bigger than their counterparts, while also having a small firework-like shine to them. You will also be able to hear a small jingle when you are close to them.

Are Lucky Pals Stronger in Palworld?

Lucky Pals are indeed stronger than regular Pals in the game. They have the 'Lucky' trait, which increases both their attack and work speed by 15%. They also have a much higher chance to have higher-than-normal stats and can also feature special passive and active skills. While I don't know if it's worth it to go out and explore for the sole reason of finding Lucky Pals, if you by chance manage to come across one, it is definitely worth it to capture it.
