A brand new event is coming to Pokémon Go to celebrate the upcoming release of Pokémon Horizons: The Series across various regions. Running from March 5th through March 11th, this event will give trainers the chance to catch newly discovered Pokémon from the Paldea region and more.

Introduction of Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge in Pokemon GO
The highlight of the event is the debut arrival of Charcadet, the Fire-type Pokemon. Along with its evolved forms Armarouge and Ceruledge, these Pokemon will be catchable in Pokemon Go for the very first time.
Charcadet will hatch from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km event eggs. After March 11th, it may continue appearing in 10 km eggs so trainers can keep hunting for this signature Horizons species.
Evolving Your Charcadet
Charcadet can evolve into two different Pokémon: Armarouge and Ceruledge. To trigger these evolutions in Pokémon Go, you need to:
- Set Charcadet as your buddy Pokémon.
- Defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon to evolve into Armarouge.
Or
Defeat 30 Ghost-type Pokémon to evolve into Ceruledge.
You don't need to defeat those Pokémon using Charcadet itself, just have Charcadet set as your buddy when you clear those evolution requirements.
Note: Other Pokemons can still hatch from the eggs.

What Else Is New in the Event?
A costumed Pikachu-wearing Cap’s hat will also be available. This Pikachu knows the Charged Attack Volt Tackle, so be sure to nab one for battle! Shiny hunters can also keep watch for special costumes and standard Shinies throughout the event.

When Does the Pokémon Horizons Event Take Place?
The Pokémon Horizons event runs from Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 10 AM to Monday, March 11 at 8 PM local time. So you’ll have almost a full week to take part and catch special Pokémon before the new show premieres.
Various bonuses, Rocket encounters, and event-exclusive Field Research tasks will round out the festivities too!
