The upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day May 2024 is going to start soon! During Pokemon GO's monthly Community Day, one Pokemon will take the spotlight and appear more frequently in the wild along with increased chances of encountering its Shiny variant. The event lasts for three hours and offers various bonuses. Here's what to expect from the May 2024 Community Day in Pokemon GO.

The Pokemon GO Community Day in May 2024 is set to feature the adorable Fruit Pokemon, Bounsweet. This exciting event will take place on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this three-hour window, trainers will have the chance to encounter Shiny Bounsweet in the wild and enjoy a variety of bonuses.

Evolving Steenee, Bounsweet's evolved form, during the event or up to five hours afterward will result in Tsareena learning the exclusive Charged Attack, High Jump Kick. This powerful Fighting-type move boasts 110 power in Trainer Battles and a chance to greatly decrease the user's Defense. In Gyms and raids, the High Jump Kick has a power of 90.

Pokemon GO May 2024 Community Day Bonuses

Throughout the May 2024 Community Day event, trainers can take advantage of several exciting bonuses:

• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event
• 2× Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2× Chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
• Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day (active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time)
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust (active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time)
• A Snapshot surprise

Pokemon GO May 2024 Community Day Special and Field Research

For just US$1.00, trainers can access the Bounsweet Community Day exclusive Special Research story. In Pokemon GO, you can now purchase and gift tickets to friends with whom you've reached a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

In addition to the Special Research, Community Day–themed Field Research tasks will be available during the event. Catching Bounsweet will reward players with additional encounters, Stardust, Great Balls, and more.

Bonus Raid Battles and Showcases

After the main Community Day event concludes, trainers can participate in unique four-star Raid Battles featuring Steenee from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time. These raids can only be joined using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.

Defeating Steenee in these raids will cause more Bounsweet to appear around the Gym for 30 minutes. If you're lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Bounsweet during this bonus period!

Event Bundles and Photobombs

The in-game shop will offer two special Community Day bundles during the event:

• 1,350 PokeCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, and 5 Lucky Eggs
• 480 PokeCoins: 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, and 1 Lure Module
