Update 8.60 will bring a ton of new stuff to RAID: Shadow Legends, and amidst the new champions, new features, and nerfs to some of the game’s toughest dungeons, we also have some champion rebalances for two of RAID’s legendary champions.

This article will look at all the changes coming to Vitrius the Anointed and Holsring.

Champions Rebalance


Update 8.60 will bring some needed changes to the skills of two of the game’s legendary champions.

The two units that are the focus of this update’s rebalance are Vitrius the Anointed and Holsring. Both of them are receiving some nice buffs, which make it easier to slot into various teams.

Holy Terror

  • OLD:
    • Attacks 1 enemy 2 times.
    • The first hit heals this Champion by 30% of the damage inflicted.
    • The second hit has a 65% chance of placing a [Fear] debuff for 1 turn.
    • If the target is a Boss, the second hit has a 65% chance of placing a 30% [Decrease SPD] debuff for 2 turns instead.
  • NEW:
    • Attacks 1 enemy 2 times.
    • The first hit heals this Champion by 30% of the damage inflicted. The second hit has a 65% chance of placing a [True Fear] debuff for 1 turn.
    • This debuff cannot be resisted if the first hit fully healed this Champion.
    • If the target is a Boss, the second hit has a 65% chance of placing a 30% [Decrease SPD] debuff for 2 turns instead.
Storm of Righteousness

Storm of Righteousness

  • OLD:
    • Attacks all enemies. Before attacking, removes all [Increase DEF], [Ally Protection], and [Strengthen] buffs from all enemies. This effect cannot be resisted.
    • Will also ignore 30% of each target’s DEF. Boosts this Champion’s Turn Meter by 30% for each enemy alive after the attack.
  • NEW: 
    • Attacks all enemies. Before attacking, removes all [Increase DEF], [Ally Protection], and [Strengthen] buffs from all enemies. This effect cannot be resisted.
    • If at least one buff was removed, also places a 50% [Increase ATK] buff and a 30% [Increase C.DMG] buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
    • Will also ignore 30% of each target’s DEF. Boosts this Champion’s Turn Meter by 30% for each enemy alive after the attack.

  • OLD:
    • Attacks 1 enemy 2 times.
    • The first hit destroys the enemy’s MAX HP by 25% of the damage dealt. Cannot destroy a single enemy’s MAX HP by more than 75%. If the target is a Boss, destroys MAX HP equal to 35% of the damage dealt.
    • The second hit will ignore 30% of the target’s DEF if they have no active skills on cooldown. If the target has any active skills on cooldown, ignores 50% DEF instead.
    • Ignores [Shield], [Unkillable], and [Block Damage] buffs.
  • NEW:
  • Attacks 1 enemy 2 times.
  • Each hit ignored 30% of the target's DEF and destroys the enemy's MAX HP by 25% of the damage dealt. Cannot destroy a single enemy's MAX HP by more than 75%. If the target is a Boss, destroys MAX HP equal to 35% of the damage dealt.
  • If the target has any active skills on cooldown, both hits will ignore 50% of the target's DEF instead.
  • Ignores [Shield], [Unkillable], and [Block Damage] buffs.

  • NEW: 
    • Attacks 1 enemy 2 times.
    • If this Champion is under a [Veil] or [Perfect Veil] buff, each hit has a 50% chance to decrease the target's Turn Meter by 15%
    • Places a 50% [Increase ATK] buff on this Champion for 2 turns if this attack is critical.
Overthrow

  • OLD:
    • Attacks 3 times at random.
    • Will ignore 25% of DEF against targets under [Hex] debuffs.
    • Will ignore a further 25% of DEF against targets under [Hex] debuffs from the Banner Lord or Knights Revenant Factions.
  • NEW: 
    • Attacks 1 enemy 3 times.
    • If the target is under a [Hex] debuff, each hit will ignore 25% of the target's DEF.
    • Will ignore a further 25% of the target's DEF if they are also under a [Decrease SPD] debuff.
    • Will also ignore an additional 25% of the target's DEF if they are from the Banner Lords or Knights Revenant Factions.
Witchfinder

  • OLD:
    • Attacks 4 times at random.
    • Each hit has a 75% chance of placing a [Hex] debuff for 3 turns. Champions from the Banner Lord and Knights Revenant Factions cannot resist this debuff.
    • Each hit also has a 75% chance of stealing 25% of the target’s Turn Meter. Steals 50% of the Turn Meter instead if the target is from the Banner Lord or Knights Revenant Factions.
    • If this Champion’s Turn Meter is at 75% or more after the steal, places a [Perfect Veil] buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
  • NEW:
    • Attacks 4 times at random.
    • Each hit has a 75% chance of placing a [Hex] debuff for 3 turns and a 30% [Decrease SPD] debuff for 2 turns. Champions from the Banner Lord and Knights Revenant Factions cannot resist these debuff.
    • Each hit also has a 75% chance of stealing 25% of the target’s Turn Meter. Steals 50% of the Turn Meter instead if the target is from the Banner Lord or Knights Revenant Factions.
    • Also places a [Perfect Veil] buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
Hunter's Guile

Passive

Hunter's Guile

  • OLD:
    • If this Champion attacks 2 targets under [Hex] debuffs during the same turn, places a [Perfect Veil] buff on this Champion for 1 turn. Will not count counterattacks.
    • Increases critical damage by 30% while attacking under a [Perfect Veil] buff.
  • NEW:
    • If this Champion attacks a target under a [Hex] debuff and a [Decrease SPD] debuff, places a [Perfect Veil] buff on this champion for 1 turn. This effect will not activate when counterattacking.
    • Also increases this Champion's C.DMG by 30% while attacking under a [Perfect Veil] buff.

It is great to see that Plarium is removing most of the RNG factor from Holsring’s kit and buffing him to be more useful against units from the Banner Lords and Knights Revenant factions. We can’t wait to see if this champion will find more use in the arena after the rebalance, and it is probably one you should also watch out for.

As for Anointed, although his changes aren’t as drastic, he’s gotten an overall buff to his buffing and debuffing capabilities, which will surely increase his damage potential as well as the damage potential of his team.

All in all, these are some great changes, and we can’t wait to see how these champions will fit in the current RAID meta after the update.
