Rainbow Six Siege Y8S4 Release Date
Rainbow Six Siege's Year 8 Season 4 titled Operation Deep Freeze is set to launch on November 28, bringing a new Portuguese operator, map, weapons, gadgets, and more.
Ubisoft recently concluded the Six Atlanta Major, where they provided a first look at Operation Deep Freeze content. While it is already available for testing on the PC Test Server, most players wait for the full seasonal release.

New Defender Operator
The new Operator Tubarão hails from Ponta Delgada, Portugal. Part of the Wolfguard CTU alongside Doc, Rook, and Twitch, his unique gadget is the Zoto Canister.
- This throwable device sticks to surfaces and releases freezing gas to deactivate enemy gadgets and expose footprints.
- As a 2 Speed, 2 Health Defender, Tubarão can fill both anchor and roamer roles.

Defender AI Playlist
Year 8 Season 4 is removing Terrorist Hunt and replacing it with a Defender AI playlist for PvE fans. Players can squad up solo or in teams of five to take on groups of AI enemies modeled after casual multiplayer matches.
Frag Grenade Rework
Frag Grenades are also undergoing significant changes in Operation Deep Freeze to reduce their viability as primary utilities.
- Cooked grenade throws will no longer be possible, with frags fusing 2 seconds after bouncing off surfaces like stun grenades.
- Several more operators like IQ, Lion, and Sens will receive frags to compensate for the reduced power.
