Apex Legends' upcoming season, "Resurrection," is making waves with the much-anticipated rework of Revenant. This comprehensive overhaul, featuring a fresh look and revamped abilities, aims to elevate the legend's gameplay and position within the battle royale meta.

However, Respawn Entertainment wants to clarify that such extensive reworks won't become a regular occurrence for other legends in the future. Game designer Evan Funnell emphasized that the decision to rework Revenant was a unique opportunity to address significant issues with his kit and fantasy.

Revenant's pick rate had been disappointingly low until the teasers for his rework sparked curiosity among players. His glitching state led to a consistent pick rate of under one percent in previous seasons. While some other legends face similar challenges with their current kits, Funnell clarified that Respawn won't commit to regular reworks.

Nevertheless, Funnell assured players that Respawn won't be overly cautious about making changes to legends when needed. If a major issue arises with a particular legend, the developers will address it accordingly.

For now, Apex Legends will primarily focus on introducing entirely new legends and maps, while keeping balance changes for the existing cast more limited. As fans eagerly await the launch of "Resurrection" on August 8th, they can anticipate trying out Revenant's new abilities and appearance in the game.
