Reverse 1999: Ulu Best Build Guide, Kit, More

Ulu is a 5-star Mineral character in Reverse: 1999 that joined the game in Version 1.5.

Ulu is a support/DPS unit that synergizes well with the 6-star character Spathodea that was released in the same version and if built right can become a great support for her.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to build Ulu to bring out the most of her potential.

Ulu Introduction

Ulu is a champion whose main purpose is to support the 6-star character Spathodea. All of Ulu’s kit is revolved around synergizing with Spathodea, thus if you are not pulling for Spathodea you might find it hard to utilize Ulu’s skills.

Ulu’s kit requires that enemies are inflicted with [Burn] to apply its unique effects, and as of Version 1.5, the only champion that can apply this debuff reliably is Spathodea. In the future there may be other characters that utilize Ulu\s potential, however, right now she is not a great pick if used without Spathodea.

When in combination with Spathodea, however, Ulu is a great support that can increase the team’s damage by up to 30%, while also decreasing the damage that they take, making her quite the reliable support.

The remainder of her kit leans towards the DPS side with some nice personal buffs there as well, which makes her a decent pick for a 5-star character.

• Mass Buff. All allies gain DMG Dealt +15% and DMG Taken -15% for 3 rounds.
• If enemies have 15 or more stacks of [Burn] in total, the DMG Dealt effect is doubled.
• Burn: Healing Taken -15%(unstackable). At the end of the round, takes (the holder's ATK x4%) Genesis DMG (stackable up to 30 times, multiple stacks of [Burn] is regarded as 1 [Neg Status], removes 50% of the stacks when triggered).

Opening Ceremony

• 1-Target attack. Deals 160/240/400% Mental DMG. This attack gains Penetration Rate +25/30/35% against targets inflicted with [Burn].

Beating Heart

• Mass Attack. Deals 120/180/300% Mental DMG to 2 enemies and inflicts 1 stack of [Burn].

To summarize, Ulu is a good unit who shines the best when used in a team with Spathodea as both of these characters are made to complement each other greatly.

When used without Spathodea Ulu’s potential suffers due to a heavier SP requirement to use her skills, thus making her way more SP heavy and negatively impacting your team rather than helping it.

If you are planning on pulling for Spathodea, or already have her, then Ulu is a great 5-star support unit for her, and in a team, they do absolutely great against various forms of content.
