Skull and Bones Gameplay
Skull and Bones offers solo and co-op multiplayer for up to three players. The main attraction is tactical open-sea naval combat with a deep ship customization system. Players can tweak stats by swapping cannons, armor, and other parts. Cosmetics like sails and figureheads can also be customized.
On land, players accept contracts, resupply and upgrade their ships. Forts, settlements, and outposts are scattered across the map. Locations are ranked from 1-15, with higher tiers granting better loot at the cost of greater resistance.
Progression is tied to a pirate infamy system. As players gain notoriety, they unlock new opportunities and gear. Upon reaching rank 6 infamy, an underground smuggling operation opens up.
