Solo Leveling: ARISE is the newest gacha game to stir waves in the gacha community, and is also the first official game under the Solo Leveling IP.

Similar to other gacha games Solo Leveling: ARISE features a wishing/drawing system where you can pull for your favorite characters from the Solo Leveling franchise.

This guide will walk you through the drawing system in Solo Leveling: ARISE, explaining the rates, the pity system, and more.

Solo Leveling: ARISE Banners

There are currently two banners featured in the Solo Leveling: ARISE Early Access.

  • Selection Draw
  • The Ultimate Hunter

Similar to other gacha games, these two can be divided into a standard banner, the Selection Draw, and a limited-time banner, The Ultimate Hunter.

The things you can get from these banners are either - Hunter or Weapons

Both of these are present in both banners and similar to other gachas are divided into rarities. Weapons come in - R / SR / SRR rarity and Hunters come in - SR and SRR rarity.

Draw Currency

As we've already explained there are two banners currently present in Solo Leveling: ARISE. The Selection Draw and the Limited Time Hunter banner.

Both of these banners use a currency known as Draw Tickets to summon.

There are two types of Draw Tickets:

  • Selection Draw Ticket
  • Special Draw Ticket

You can view the Selection Draw Tickets are you standard pulls and the Special Draw tickets as your premium pulls.

Right from the start you'll find yourself getting a ton of Selection Draw Tickets, but Special Draw Tickets are a bit harder to find.

Both types of tickets can be bought with Essence Stones, which is the game's premium currency, at a rate of 250 Essence Stones = Draw Ticket.

Given how such games work it would be a good idea to save most of your Essence Stones to buy Special Draw Tickets rather than the Selection Draw Tickets.

Banner Rates

As already mentioned rarities in Solo Leveling: ARISE are currently divided into three - R / SR and SSR rarity.

When drawing on a banner you have the following chances to get an R / SR or SSR item:

  • R = 90%
  • SR = 8.8%
  • SSR = 1.2%

These rates aren't bad, but are also not great. They are certainly a step up from games that give out 0.6% rates for SSR items, so your chance of getting an SSR item is average in Solo Leveling: ARISE.

Also considering that both Hunters and Weapons are present on any said banner, this 1.2% chance suddenly seems that much lower, because the chance you will get a Hunter to play with, rather than a weapon falls drastically.

All in all, the rates for the banners in Solo Leveling: ARISE seem good, but you also need to factor in that you can get both characters and weapons from them.

Pity System

Like other gachas Solo Leveling: ARISE incorporates a pity system into their game.

The hard pity for Solo Leveling: ARISE is 80, thankfully though there is also a soft pity that starts building up at 64.

With every draw after the 64th one, you get a 5.8% increase to obtain an SSR item, until the eventual guaranteed SSR at 80.

Guaranteed System

Unfortunately for the players, Solo Leveling: ARISE does not offer a 100% chance to obtain a limited-time SSR Hunter.

Similar to other games you first have a 50% chance of not obtaining the limited-rate up character. If you have lost your first 50/50 then you'll definitely get the limited-rate up character next time you receive an SSR.

Although this has become a regular system in most gacha games it is still unfortunate to see that Solo Leveling: ARISE also takes this route.

Closing Remarks

All in all, the wishing system in Solo Leveling: ARISE is nothing new and should be familiar to those who've played a gacha game or two.

Its rates are slightly higher than what we've seen in other games, however, the fact that SSR Hunter and SSR Weapons are in the same banners makes this higher percentage not that relevant.

Given that this is still the Early Access things may change and we're eager to see if netmarble will keep this system going forward or if they'll make some changes.
