The first additional storage option you can add to your business costs $1000. Keep in mind that this investment may not be necessary if you are still in the early stages of your store, as you most likely don't have a serious struggle with restocking.

If you find yourself struggling with tracking and organizing your products in one shift, additional storage can be a helpful solution. The best way to utilize your new empty space is to stack boxes of all the items you plan to sell in your store.

Towards the end of your day shift, plan all necessary items for your store and order them for your storage. Your goal is to have as many, or ideally all the items you would need to fully restock your shelves. While this can be an expensive plan, starting small and gradually getting used to the number of products you have to order will make it more manageable.

This might seem like a lot, but realistically, some products don't sell out completely. If, for example, you have to restock only 4 out of 16 items, you could easily refill your stored goods with the number of products you have put out.

It might sound confusing at first, but storing a variety of items will allow you to track your inventory, always have necessary refills for your day shifts, and quickly restock goods instead of waiting for a new order.

Later on, you can also add shelves to your storage room to help you organize your resources and easily keep track of their quantity.

Ordering Products

After setting up your storage, shelving becomes easier. Unfortunately, the number of sets you can order at once is limited, so you have to ensure you order enough to restock your storage.

As soon as the day shift ends, you can restock all the items you need in your supermarket and leave the rest in storage. Once you have fully packed your store shelves, you can count and estimate how many items you will need to have your storage complete again. Go to your computer and queue an order with those items. This will be your first order of the following day, allowing you to start with a full room of reserve items.

Shelving Products

One helpful strategy when arranging your items is to aim for a similar quantity for all or almost all products that you place on shelves. While the sets of some items may differ, you can allocate such items to different shelves. If you consistently sell similar amounts of items, it becomes easier to notice when and how much you need to restock.

Maintaining a full room with products will significantly speed up your shelving process. Gather any products you need to restock, but don't forget to keep track of your storage for the orders you'll need to place throughout the day.

To further expedite the process, consider running when moving around. In case you forgot, you can run by pressing 'Shift'.

This is a very basic but effective strategy to improve your product arrangement as restocking. Try it out and experiment with how it would work for you best.
