Popular FPS game The Finals has released its 1.10.0 update along with a new in-game Wild West event called Smoking Guns. The update introduces changes across gameplay, UI, maps, animations, security, performance, and more.

Smoking Guns Limited Time Event
A new limited-time event called Smoking Guns launched with the patch. Players enter a Western-themed version of the Monaco map with special loadouts. The Single Round Tournament game mode also returns, where four teams compete in one round.
Players can earn High Noon Noir cosmetic outfits by completing contracts. There is also a Chamber Chum Twitch drop available.
Collaborative Community Event
Alongside Smoking Guns, there is also a collaborative community event challenging players to collectively cash out $250 billion in one week. If successful, all participants will receive a reward. Additionally, some lucky players will win a t-shirt prize.

Gameplay Changes
Several gameplay changes were implemented in this patch:
- Fixed issue with the play again button being unavailable at the wrong times
- Lowered cancel emote time from 3 to 1.5 seconds
- Fixed tournament screen interruption bug when being eliminated before transition
- Addressed camera offset issues at end of round screens
UI Improvements
Multiple UI upgrades went live in the update:
- Fixed disappearing mouse cursor when opening the systems menu in gameplay
- Squad member off-screen indicators now show name and health instead of just a dot
- Players can now equip store/equipment items directly
- Fixed bugs causing multiple weapon skins to be applied to one gun

Developers also improved maps and animations:
- Updated collision detection on Monaco map terrain
- Fixed character model deformation issues in squad lineups
- Enhanced overall character mesh deformations
Performance and Optimization
Significant performance optimization went out in this patch:

- Fixed various console-specific crashes, especially on Xbox Series S
- General improvements to performance across platforms
