Introducing a new Create-A-Sim feature for all simmers: The Sims 4 is now adding Vitiligo Skin. This new addition promises more diversity in every TS4 gameplay. Here's what you need to know about this feature:
TS4 Skin Details & Diversity
Diversity is very important for Electronic Arts' TS4 team. Aiming to add more representation to the game, developers are introducing more skin and hair options. Birthmarks, stretch marks, scars, and freckles help make each Sim unique, giving simmers a more personal gameplay experience. With the inclusion of Vitiligo options, players no longer need to rely solely on custom content (CC).
Vitiligo in The Sims offers a variety of patterns, coverage levels, and symmetries. These can be applied across different facial features, torso sections, and limbs. Moreover, Vitiligo patterns can seamlessly blend with all skin tones and are accessible for Sims of all ages.
- In total, the TS4 team has developed 61 Vitiligo variants covering all age groups for the initial release.
- We won't be able to change the color of the pattern. The color depends on the hue of the skin.
- Vitiligo won't have any effects on the gameplay in TS4.
- Tattoos and Body Hair can be layered with Vitiligo.
- Birthmarks and Vitiligo can't be layered.

Winnie Harlow x The Sims 4 Collaboration
Model Winnie Harlow has teamed up with EA for the TS4 Vitiligo update. Simmers can download a version of her Sim-self and Hollywood home from The Sims 4 Gallery.
“It’s magical to see The Sims 4 team introduce this new Vitiligo feature. As a child, I spent a lot of time playing The Sims and I think it’s so beautiful to be able to represent your true self in-game. This partnership is a powerful statement encouraging players to embrace what makes them unique – both in-game and in real life.”
